It's been awhile since I've used a mousse and I saw someone on youtube with gorgeous hair use it. Even though she had a looser curl pattern I thought I had to try it. Anyway I'de never heard of a mousse that had the leave-in conditioner built in.
It's Claims:
Get an A+ on your style by keeping it styled and quenched. Smiley face stickers not included. What do you get when you cross a mousse with a leave-in conditioner? Healthy smooth locks that’ll lock and look how you want em’. This is one mousse crossing that needs no crossing.
I love the fat purple container. It's so pretty. Packaging goes a long way with me. The new container is skinny and the ingredient list is in a different order. The better ingredients are more towards the bottom. The one I got has the better ingredients towards the top. It smells nice but the scent fades really easily. I had some problems getting the product out though. Then their was about a half an ounce and I couldn't get that out AT ALL....waste of product.
But enough about that. I'll talk about how it worked in my hair. The first times I used too much. And it was kinda crunchy. But trust me I used ALOT. Mousse is addictive and fun. But then I got it right and it was perfect. Defined curls that weren't hard at all. It came out even better when I used additional leave in. It's a nice mousse, I like it.
Ingredients:
Water, Isobutane, Propane, Kangaroo Paw Flower Leaf Extract, Wild Cherry Bark Extract, Peppermint Leaf Extract, Aloe Leaf, Polyquarternium- 4, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Cocomidapropyl Betaine, Lauramine Oxide, Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol, PEG/PPG-18/18 Dimethicone, Methylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Propylene Glycol, Vitamin E, Ethylhexyl, Salicylate
Ingredients aren't the greatest. I mean PROPANE. What does propane do for your hair? It does have a some good ingredients though. I can't complain because it was cheap. About 3 dollars for 8 ounces.
In conclusion I like it. It's a good mousse if your a fan of mousses and it contains no CFC’s which deplete ozone layer. I would recommend it.
I'm going to have to give this a try. I already LOVE their Moist Shampoo and Conditioner so I'm willing to take things to the next step.
ReplyDeleteI've been using mousse a lot more frequent with these micros. I always added some kind of moisture to condition but if I can skip one step in my roller set...cool beans.
I'm going to give this a try as well as Giovanni's mousse
Ooh, the moist shampoo and conditioner is on my list of things to try..
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of mousse were you using before?
I hope you like it :)
Let me know how it works for you?
I've used regular mousse (too many to list)in the past but what I NEEDED was curl "defining"/ wrap lotions/ type mousse. As you know mousses go hard on alcohol and other drying ingredients. I like: Mizani Silk Defining Mousse
ReplyDeleteKeracare Foam Wrap-set Lotion. Its pricey ($16) but I like it...a lot.
Still want to try Giovanni, Silk Elements, Motions, and Aussie.
I'm adding those to my list now. Eventually I'm going to try the two of them.:)
