The Body Shop Banana Shampoo and Conditioner

So I know I've been doing a lot of product reviews from They Body Shop but I've never tried their shampoo or conditioner and since it was on sale, I thought I would give it a go. Now I LOVE bananas. In fact I just ate three. So I was hoping I would love this product. I got both of them for four euro's each which is about six dollar's a piece. They are both about 8.4 ounces.

The Body Shop Says:
Shampoo- Gently cleanse and nourish your hair with a shampoo that smells good enough to eat and will leave your hair feeling clean, soft and silky.
Conditioner- Nourish and protect your hair with an irresistible smelling conditioner that leaves it free of tangles and easy to manage.

I was really excited to get my hands on this. I've heard many good things about the effects of Banana's on the hair and skin. Banana's are an excellent form of moisture. So I'll start off with the scent. It smells like artificial banana. Which I'm not a big fan of. I wish the scent was more true. It reminds me of these little banana candies that Willy Wonka has. I can't remember the name but they had a small banana shaped candy and this smells exactly like that. I didn't really like that candy though. The shampoo texture is average. And the conditioner reminds me of smashed up bananas mixed with honey. I mad a mask one time for my face.

The shampoo doesn't give the best lather and the conditioner doesn't give enough slip. The scent doesn't really last, not that I'de want it too and these two seem to be toooo drying for my hair. I need something a little more moisturizing.

Shampoo Ingredients:
Water (Solvent/Diluent), Sodium Laureth Sulfate (Surfactant), Musa Paradisica (Banana) Fruit (Emollient/Lubricant), Glyceryl Hydroxystearate (Emollient), Lauramide DEA (Surfactant), Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Surfactant), Phenoxyethanol (Preservative), Benzyl Alcohol (Preservative), Sodium Benzoate (Preservative), Panthenol (Skin/Hair Conditioning Agent), Polyquaternium-7 (Hair Conditioner), Stearic Acid (Emulsifier), Sodium Chloride (Viscosity Modifier), Methylparaben (Preservative), Fragrance (Fragrance), Citric Acid (pH Adjuster), Disodium EDTA (Chelating Agent), Butylparaben (Preservative), Ethylparaben (Preservative), Isobutylparaben (Preservative), Propylparaben (Preservative), Ascorbic Acid (Antioxidant), Yellow 5 (Colour), Red 4 (Colour).

Conditioner Ingredients:
Water (Solvent/Diluent), Musa Paradisica (Banana) Fruit (Emollient/Lubricant), Cetearyl Alcohol (Emulsifier), Cetrimonium Chloride (Hair Conditioner), Phenoxyethanol (Preservative), Hydroxyethylcellulose (Stabiliser/Thickener), Lecithin (Stabiliser/Emulsifier), Propylene Glycol (Humectant), Panthenol (Skin/Hair Conditioning Agent), Fragrance (Fragrance), Benzyl Alcohol (Preservative), Sodium Hydroxide (pH Adjuster), Ascorbic Acid (Antioxidant), Yellow 5 (Colour), Yellow 6 (Colour).

So in conclusion I'd say SKIP it. Smash some bananas up and just put them in your hair. That would yield better results.
