Cucumber seems to be a favorite when it come to scenting facial care products. I picked these two products up from The Body Shop for four euro a piece. Not a bad deal.
The Body Shop Cleansing Milk:
It’s back! Feel as cool as a cucumber with this refreshing cleansing milk. It gently lifts away excess oils, make-up and impurities without drying the skin, to leave skin feeling clean, fresh, soft and smooth. An old favourite from The Body Shop®, originally launched in 1980 - now improved with added Community Trade soya oil and 100% post-consumer recycled packaging!!!
This product reminds me of a makeup remover I used not to long ago. It was the Ponds Make-Up Remover. It has the same scent and everything. The big difference is that Pond's broke me out and this doesn't. I think it's because it doesn't contain mineral oil (none of The Body Sop's products do). Now this one doesn't lather, it's more of a cream that you massage into your skin and rinse away. It does a good job of taking off surface dirt and make-up. If your looking for something that will deep clean, look somewhere else. In my book, this is an average product. It does the job but nothing to exciting. It's ideal for dry skin because it will not dry the skin out AT ALL.

The Body Shop Freshening Water:
It’s back! Feel as cool as a cucumber with this refreshing toner that helps to remove traces of cleanser, dirt and make-up to refresh the skin without over drying it. An old favourite from The Body Shop®, originally launched in 1980 - now improved with added Community Trade Aloe Vera and 100% post-consumer recycled packaging!!!
This is the perfect companion to the cleanser. It manages to always take off extra dirt that doesn't come off with just cleanser. It's refreshing (for a more refreshing feel keep it in the refrigerator). I just pour some on a little cotton ball and wipe my entire face down. My face looks brighter afterwards and it leaves my face feeling balanced. No dry feeling here. This product might have just converted me into a toner believer. I think it helps my moisturizer sink in better, well when I use moisturizer, this seems to hydrate my skin well enough that I can skip.
Ingredients:
Aqua (Solvent/Diluent), Rosa Centifolia Flower Water (Natural Additive), Polysorbate 20 (Emulsifier), Sodium PCA (Humectant), Alcohol Denat. (Solvent/Diluent), Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Cucumis Sativus Juice (Natural Additive), Benzyl Alcohol (Preservative), Parfum (Fragrance), Hexyl Cinnamal (Fragrance Ingredient), Glycerin (Humectant), Citric Acid (pH Adjuster), Hamamelis Virginiana Extract (Natural Additive), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Skin-Conditioning Agent), Geraniol (Fragrance Ingredient), Methylparaben (Preservative), Butylphenyl Methylpropional (Fragrance Ingredient), Butylparaben (Preservative), Ethylparaben (Preservative), Isobutylparaben (Preservative), Propylparaben (Preservative).
As you can probably tell from my review, I'm more enthusiastic about the toner. I would recommend that over the cleansing milk unless you have dry skin. Are all toners this good? Have you tried any of the Cucumber line from Body Shop?
