Ugh...it feels like summer. I love sunshine as much as anyone else but I don't do to well in hot weather. Where's the summer breeze? Anyway....
They had this brand on sale at my health food store for $2.99. They have a ton of different scents-but of course I picked up the Shea Butter. I love anything with Shea in it, so although I really wanted to try something different I still ended up with the Shea Butter one. I'm so predictable!
South of France claims:
This luxuriously lathering, all-vegetable soap is triple-milled in the Marseille tradition for a pampering, cleansing experience. Coconut Oil and sustainable Palm Oil create a creamy lather; natural Glycerin combines with organic Shea Butter to leave your skin soft and deeply moisturized.
We'll start off with the packaging. It comes in a cute little velvety box. Seriously, it's the nicest feeling box I've ever had a soap come in! I kind of don't want to throw it away. It is recyclable though so make sure you do recycle!
For some reason I thought this was made in France (Wonder why?). But it's made right in the US.
It's a decent size at 6 oz. Looks like your typical soap.
The smell is really nice. A very clean scent, something I would expect from a Dove soap. It smells strong straight from the bar but once you get in the shower the nice scent is barely detectable. That was a bummer!
The lather is really nice though. It's super rich and thick and a little goes a very long way. And it leaves my skin in nice condition afterwards. No need for lotion- I'm not sure how it would do in winter though...
As far as being french milled....it seems to be melting like any other soap.
The ingredients are great! All natural...except a little fragrance.
Ingredients:
Saponified mass balance sustainable palm oil, saponified coconut oil, vegetable glycerin, organic shea butter, natural colorants, blends of natural and essential oils and fragrance
Overall, it's a decent, yet basic, soap. In fact, I would call it the Dove Beauty Bar of the natural soaps.
