Plant Therapy Grapefruit Cardamom Natural Deodorant Review

Blog time! I'm fighting exhaustion and don't want to go to sleep so early so I'm going to do two posts then put on a movie- or play some Just Dance. I got my booster shot yesterday and am mostly feeling better after a night of chills. I'm overall glad it's out the way though.

Anyway...kind of a boring review. Deodorant. I've tried so many natural deodorants and thought this was promising after getting a free sample. The sample was amazing. So much so that I went right online and bought a double pack. Unfortunately that's when I discovered it doesn't work that well. At least not well enough.

Plant Therapy claims:

Stay fresh and smell fantastic with our Grapefruit Cardamom Natural Deodorant. The natural ingredients will help your underarms stay fresh throughout the day while helping absorb and minimize wetness. Starting with a nourishing base of Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, and earth wax, the combination of tapioca starch, baking soda, and magnesium hydroxide work together to help neutralize odor, absorb wetness and keep you feeling dry. Plus the natural scent of Grapefruit and Cardamom will leave you with the smell of woody, spicy, and citrusy freshness.

This natural deodorant is made without synthetic fragrance, parabens, and aluminum. It's also non-GMO and cruelty free.

Love Grapefruit Cardamom scent? Combine with our Grapefruit Cardamom Body Crème to enjoy a woody, spicy, floral aroma from head to toe.

I liked a few things about it more than I like my go to natural deodorant. First, the texture is really nice and smooth. No grit. Just smooth. More so than many commercial deodorants. I think it's the coconut oil in the formula.

It also smells really nice, I adore the scent of Grapefruit. The cardamom kinda makes it smell a bit masculine to me though.

As for it working, the sample was amazing. But over a couple days using it, it became less and less effective. It works a lot better than the Tiara Flower deodorant from the same brand which smelled really good but didn't work at all.  This one works maybe 3-5 hours, then it needs to be reapplied. If it's hot, it's effectiveness decreases and best to re-apply before working out. And maybe after too.

The ingredients are nice, just not as effective as I need.

Ingredients:

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Tapioca Starch, Ozokerite, Magnesium Hydroxide, Sodium Bicarbonate, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Natural Fragrance, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Lactobacillus

Overall, wouldn't go through the trouble of ordering it again. I can find something a bit better priced and local to me that works a bit better than this or the same.

Random:

My vanilla beans are here! I have 57, now to figure out what to do with them all....and the ones I still have on the way. I went a little crazy
