I originally planned on doing two posts today but I pulled up Netflix and saw that the latest season of Outlander is available. I did watch the first part of the season and then completely forgot about the second part. So I'm watching the first part over and excited to get into part 2. Also super excited to have Jamie back on screen- he really is basically the perfect man. Makes me sick 😁.
But anyway...quick brush review today. A fan brush.
Royal claims:
Apply subtle highlights or brush away excess powder with this delicate fan brush. The soft, natural hair picks up and deposits product, even the smallest of glitters, perfectly.
OMNIA® GOLD is the next-generation of professional makeup brushes. Each brush uses only the finest quality natural hair. This hair is meticulously selected and incredibly soft while still maintaining the density needed to pick up and deposit product with accuracy and precision. Every brush is handcrafted to perfection, creating the finest brush possible, exceeding all expectations.

Years ago these were just about everywhere. Maybe 2016-17-18. It's definitely been awhile. Basically when the highlighter craze was a thing so many "gurus" applied using fan brushes. I'm not a highlighter girl because I have oily/greasy skin and often times a highlighter just makes me look even greasier. Rarely I might reach for one though...if it's cooler weather or I use a oil controlling primer.
Typically I reach for a different brush. But I have tried this brush a time or two. I don't think they give the same level of control. And most highlighters texture just doesn't benefit because I don't feel it picks up evenly. It does feel "fancier" than applying with my other brushes. But...I prefer other brushes for highlighter when I do reach for one. I think this probably works well on shoulders or other parts of the body better than the face.
This brush comes in handy for dusting fallout away. But it's not a must have and so many other brushes can serve the same purpose.
The gold line of brushes from Omnia are nice because they are natural haired. For the most part, I do perfer natural hairs over synthetics. I'm not a fan of the handle. The gold is just kinda ugly to me. And after awhile the gold will peel off the handle. And it's also slightly sticky to be grippy but that material is just not great for the long haul.
Overall, glad I have a fan brush and was able to test it out. But not a must have and a brush I rarely reach for.
