I went from having almost no candles in the stash to having too many. Well, not too many but I'm not allowing myself to order more despite the holiday sales. I have about two more Capri Blue candles to review after this and then I am going to take a very long break from the brand.
Capri Blue claims:
This unmistakably floral fragrance greets you with a smile, fills your home, and lifts your spirits. This punch of flowers is perfect for strong women with a soft side.
Let your personality blossom with our unforgettable Aloha Orchid Pattern Play Petite Jar. This small, but BOLD petite jar will help you embrace your playful side. Fill your space with notes of orchid, jasmine, gardenia and floral musk. This candle is an absolute must-have for spring!

40 Hour Burn Time
I bought this one on sale because I think it's more of a summer candle with a summer design.
I've had a few orchids and they never had a scent. So I was very curious on what this candle would smell like.
When I finally lit it I was shocked that it has a smoky scent and the "floral" scent seems to be an after thought. The floral scent kinda reminds me of the Lilac scent from Yankee Candle. Not exact but every time I light this that's what I think of. I haven't had that candle but I'm pretty sure I had the melt years and years ago.
As for the notes and all the flowers it calls out, if you are really in the mood for a floral candle I feel there are better options out there. It's hard to describe but it's just a vaguely floral scent. The smokey scent is what you mostly get from the candle. I like a smokey candle scent but not when I except a nice punch of flowers. UPDATE- It's starting to smell like sausage the more I burn it down..yuck!
It is a paraffin/soy blend. No problems with sooting or smoking.
Another thing I notice a lot with most candles from this brand is when you burn them to the end it winds up being so much wax leftover. I always use the leftover wax to make a DIY candle...but I prefer candles to burn down closer to the bottom. It can really feel like you wasted most of the candle when it does that.
Overall the scent is very forgettable and I can't see myself wanting to repurchase it. I think the best candle from Capri Blue is definitely their Volcano scent.
