Have ya'll heard Makeupalley is shutting down?- I can't believe it. It's what started my love of reviews and I originally started this blog as my very own space to do reviews on my natural hair journey. I still check the site today- it's good for checking reviews on older formulas and products that have been discontinued. It's good if you like to research. And if you like honest reviews. These days reviews are mostly on social media and so many are sponsored or giving good reviews because they want you to click their link so they can make money off of you. Or they are 10 second clips with no real information, I'll be sorry to see it go.

I just realized this is a new brand to me. I remember seeing some of their products in OG Essence magazines when I was a kid. I saw a few of their products on must have lists for celebs that I considered to have nice hair. It was back in the day though when relaxers were in so I was really curious on how I would like it on my natural hair.
I still avoid silicones and I believe quite a few of their lines do use silicones- this one doesn't so I snapped it up! No silicones but it does have nice oils- Coconut, Murumuri and Kukui.
I bought the 8 ounce bottle- but I really wish I bought the sampler bottle. I'm not a fan of it. It's very concentrated and the smallest amount will give you a bunch of rich, thick and bubbly lather. So it is made to last. Not watered down whatsoever.
The problem is that I as I put it on I can feel it drying and tangling up my hair. Hello Tangles. And I don't feel like it's really hydrating to my hair so I need a good conditioner to put back what was stripped.
It does clean well though. Your hair will be squeakly clean which I do kinda like. But I can't deal with the dryness and tangles.
Almost forgot to talk about the scent- when I first used it it reminded me of the Suave Coconut Line that I used years and years ago. I was a little disappointed but as I lathered it more I like the scent more than the Suave line. It doesn't have that "sour" scent to it that some fruity scents get. I've come to really enjoy the scent. I don't think it lingers much in my hair though.
