Pre De Provence Honey Almond Soap Review

Today was a really hard day for me. But I'm trying to allow myself to be sad/hurt/upset and then move on tomorrow. I don't know if that's what's going to happen but that's the game plan. In the meantime, this post because I have wanted to do this post most of the day...so I can move on to the next soap.

Pre De Provence claims:

Pre de Provence Soap Shea Enriched Everyday French Soap Bar - Honey Almond.

A sweet confection of honeyed almonds blended together with raw sugar and delectable notes of buttery vanilla make this concoction a truly delicious scent.

For centuries, the luxury of French-milled soaps has remained the gold standard of excellence. Each time you begin to lather a French made soap, you enter a time and place where quality and craftsmanship have stood still. Traditional French soap is triple-milled to produce a completely uniform and smooth soap, without impurities, thus lasting longer.

Each bar of Pre de Provence soap is not only carefully made today by dedicated soapmakers in Provence following their proud traditions, but quad-milled to be smoother and have a richer lather to create our luxurious feel.

Using pure, natural ingredients enriched with shea butter, you can feel the difference in our unique quad-milling process. Aromatic fragrances transport you into a moment of calmness, vitality, dreaming, or well-being.

I don't know what it was but the first few soaps I tried have definitely been the very best. I feel like the more I try...the less I like.

The Honey Almond is an exfoliating soap. Really, a scratching soap. It is ROUGH! It hurts. I can only use this on areas with thicker skin- like my heels. So then I don't really like using it because I can only use it on certain areas. But I used it up quickly. You can use it on a washcloth which I would have- but then I felt like I was wasting the exfoliation so I didn't.

The scent is...typical. It's about what you would expect for a typical "Honey almond" scent. It smells so familiar but I can't put my finger on exactly what it smells like. It's not unique by any means and I'm sure so many soaps have the same scent.

It's OK....

Everything else was ok. Clean well, exfoliates too well, rinses clean. Maybe a bit more drying than the other soaps in their line.

They don't list the ingredients on the website. So...it has almonds. But does it have honey? IDK.

Overall, this had great reviews on the site. But it's not for me. I wouldn't repurchase it.
