The Body Shop Merry Cranberry Shimmer Lotion

Oooh, shimmer lotion. I'm not big on shimmer but I thought "What the Heck? I'll try it. I think it was only three euros. Which is unbelievable cheap for The Body Shop.

The Body Shop says:

Make sure your skin is soft, smooth and shimmering for the holidays with a light, easily-absorbed moisturizer that has a sweet, fruity scent.Cranberry seed oil moisturizes skin.Community Trade shea butter protects and softens skin.Community Trade sesame oil moisturizes and softens skin. Our favorite little red berry has come bouncing back in wonderfully refreshing products with fruity new formats too. The range also enables us to help support six of our Community Trade suppliers so we’re simply bursting with happiness.

It smells YUMMY. Just like cranberries. Well, actually I've never smelled real cranberries, I've never even seen them. Only the Juice. But this seems to be the same scent. It even has the tartness of the cranberry scent. I also smell green apple and pear but it enhances the scent of the lotion. As far as moisturizing this stuff sinks in SO fast and leaves no trace. It's also not heavy so dry skin sufferers beware. I do wish it were a little more moisturizing though. And I with the scent would stick around longer, I would say anywhere from twenty minutes to an hour is how long it stays. Now let's talk about shimmer. It's silver and super subtle and it's definitely shimmer and not glitter. It stays on FOREVER but my only complaints are it's barely noticeable and when I do notice it I wish it were gold.

For what I payed it was definitely worth it. For full price I would probably skip it though. This should be out around Christmas again though because Body Shop made it part of their permanent Christmas line. Now I'm off to get a nice tall glass of cranberry-grape juice. YUM!!

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash

This was one of the facial washes that I was curious about. I worked at The Body Shop for a month and two of my co-workers said they didn't like this face wash. They said it made their skin dry and irritated. I don't know why but that made me want to try it. It has tea tree oil in it and I think I've used something with Tea Tree in it twice before. I had the Trader Joe Tea Tree shampoo and conditioner and a soap by Nubian Heritage. It cost me about ten dollars, which is pretty expensive. You should get around two to three months out of it if you use it once a day.

The Body Shop says:
Prevent blemishes and remove excess oil with a refreshing gel-bashed facial wash that won’t over-dry your skin and is gentle enough for daily use. How it works:Lemon tea tree and Community Trade tea tree oil from Kenya contain properties that help fight blemishes and prevent new ones from forming.Tamanu oil from Madagascar has a soothing effect and helps to calm irritation and redness.

So on with the review. It's a clear green gel that doesn't produce much lather. At first sniff I did NOT like the scent. It's grown on me though and it now smells like something medicinal. It's had to describe but I do like it now. IT CAN be drying so beware if you have dry skin. For me it dried the first few times then my skin got used to it. I do notice that it helps control oil. My skin doesn't get as oily as it used to. One thing that I HATED about this is that the first three weeks I used this I always had a painful pimple on my face. Granted most times they weren't visible and it was only one it was still highly annoying. Now that my skin has gotten used to it, I don't get them anymore. It cleans really well, I don't have any problems removing my makeup.

 Ingredients:
Water, Glycerin, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Polysorbate 20, Alcohol Denat., Panthenol, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Calophyllum Inophyllum Seed Oil, Allantoin, Citric Acid, p-Anisic Acid, Benzophenone-4, Menthol, Sodium Hydroxide, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Limonene, Leptospermum Petersonii (Lemon Tea Tree) Oil, t-Butyl Alcohol, Denatonium Benzoate, Tocopherol, Caramel, Yellow 5 Lake, Blue 1.

I honestly don't know whether to recommend it or not. It works really well NOW but for the first three weeks it was a big miss. I think I like my Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit cream better. And it's cheaper too.c

The Body Shop Fuzzy Peach Bath and Shower Gel

This is part of the originals collection they brought back for a little while. I got mine for like five dollars and some change (or four euro). You can actually still order it and get it for five on the website if you buy two things from the collection.

The Body Shop says:
It’s back! Get that fuzzy feeling with this fruity cleansing gel bursting with peachy notes, for use in the bath or shower. Creates a luxurious foamy lather to leave skin feeling cleansed and gently fragranced. An old favourite from The Body Shop®, originally launched in 1992 - now improved with added Community Trade Aloe Vera and 100% post-consumer recycled packaging!!!

So onto the review. It smells YUMMY. It isn't a true peach smell it's more like a peach drink type of scent. In fact it smells liike this peach tea that I drink from Italy. It's called San Beneditto. But anyway back to the review. The lather is nice. I mean this gel is concentrated. The only think I don't like about it is that it doesn't linger on my skin. In fact I can't even smell it on my skin after I get out the shower.

Ganier Fructis Moisture Works Shampoo and Conditioner

I don't think I've tried Garnier shampoo or conditioner since I've been natural. But I thought I would. The green bottles just scream "buy me" when I see them on the shelf. I can also hear that little whisper " For hair that shines with all it's strength..Garnier." Don't give me the side eye, I know you hear it too.

Garnier says:
Drench your hair with moisture! Fortified with Reinforced Active Fruit Concentrate - an innovative combination of vitamins B3 and B6, fructose and glucose - this creamy system helps restore moisture in dull, brittle or dry hair. Moisture is replenished and brilliant shine returns.Garnier Fructis Moisture Works Shampoo is rich and creamy. It keeps hair clean, replenishes moisture and adds shine.

They both have that signature fruity scent. I really like the scent. It's not my favorite but I like it. The scent doesn't linger though. So let's talk about the shampoo. It lathers amazingly well. There's not much else to say about it. On to the conditioner, which is just average for me. It moisturizes pretty average. I think my hair needs just a TAD more.

As far as ingredinets go I could use something a little more natural in my life.

Overall, it was just average. Maybe I should try the one made more for damaged hair.
