We've got two more recipes that I made this past week.
Starting with Cinnamon Rolls. This came fro the Unofficial Harry Potter cookbook- which I am officially half way through. And only one more recipe in the breakfast section. I'm at the part where we are baking recipes fro the Great Hall.
I halved the recipe and just made six. Because I have another roll recipe to make later on. This was actually a really good one. The texture of it was slightly different than other rolls- a fluffier texture. I guess because we warmed the milk and butter together? I also really like the method of melting the butter and brushing it on and I think I will start doing that going forward. Overall, they came out really good! I just used the icing I had in the freezer from when I made my red velvet cake.
Forgot to take a picture of it iced. Whoops!
And last up..Honey Mustard Chicken strips...which I fried. I tried the baked strips from her last air fried chicken recipe and I didn't like them so I fried these. And they aren't my favorite chicken strip I've ever made. I think they need flour. And the honey mustard flavor didn't really come through. I made some chicken strips where you use mayo for the egg substitute a couple years back and those were amazing...it does work. Just didn't work to add much flavor to the chicken in the form of honey mustard. I wouldn't make them again. I had them with sweet potato fries and veggies.
And that's all for this week!
