I'm still going strong with the leave in conditioner. I haven't skipped a leave in. It used to be that I would just throw gel right into my hair. I think on the whole my ends don't feel as messed up as they can get- which is good. I have been trying all kinds of different leave ins and although on the surface they don't seem to be doing anything- they are doing something.
Hask claims:
This multi-benefit conditioning spray moisturizes, conditions and provides thermal protection, working to soften, detangle and hydrate dry, dull strands.
Best for Dull, Dry Hair
Made in USA
I've used a few of the deep conditioners from Hask. This will be my first time venturing into the leave in. I think they only offer spray leave ins. Which unless they fall on the thicker side- they don't really do it for me. But I bought this anyway- just to see. And I also have another one after this to review- and I suspect I'll feel the same about that one too.
It makes five claims. The main one being nourishment for dry hair. And no. It doesn't really feel like it adds any moisture to my hair. Possibly it would work on a different hair type that isn't so thirsty. I just need something that does more.
It does have heat protectant- I don't plan to use heat on my hair with this though. But it does say it provides protection up to 400 degrees. I don't think that's hot enough for me. But something is better than nothing when it comes to heat protectant. I really like that it says the temp it protects to as most heat protectants don't. It's supposed to strengthen and prevent breakage. I'm not really experiencing breakage at the moment so...IDK. It does add shine. It doesn't soften.
I watched some other reviews- none had my hair type. But I did notice most of the reviewers had nice. thick, long, healthy looking hair. Could be this or could be genetics or could have been other products entirely.
It does smell really nice. It has a vanilla scent. Like a hair perfume, except I don't think it lingers in my hair much.
I'm gonna recycle the packaging when I'm done of course. I did want to mention the bottle is made with 50% recycled plastic. That's a good start but I do wish it were higher.
I like that there are no silicones. For the most part I avoid silicones. I also like that it has coconut oil and vanilla.
Ingredients:
Aqua/Water/Eau, Glycerin, Cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, Linum usitatissimum (linseed) seed oil, Cetrimonium chloride, Polyquaternium-22, Polyquaternium-47, Polysorbate 20, Disodium EDTA, Sodium benzoate, Sodium salicylate, Potassium hydroxide, Citric acid, Parfum/Fragrance, Coumarin, Hexyl cinnamal, Limonene, Linalyl acetate, Vanillin
Overall, I need something more hydrating and substantial. I don't think this type of leave in is for me.
