The Body Shop Brazil Nut Scrub

I bought one of these and then received another free. I was going to do a giveaway but don't have access to a post office. I may still do one in the future though.

The Body Shop claims:

  • Get soft, glowing skin with a creamy body scrub that has evening primrose seeds and crushed walnut shells to exfoliate.

Scent:
I really like the scent in the body butter (it just didn't do anything for my skin), but I'm not sure about this one. It's just a little too sweet and overwhelming at times. It's almost like a sweet scent with a hint of coffee in it. I think this is just one that you'll have to sniff for yourself.

Scrubby:
I love that this has natural exfoliants (crushed walnut shells and primrose seeds)  in it and they do an alright job. I find it just depends on the amount of water I have on my skin. Too much water and it won't do anything, same for too little. Your skin has to be almost dry but not quite to get the best effects. I think that's because it is more creamy as opposed to the other scrubs.

Smoothness:
My lotion goes on like butter afterwards but the effect doesn't last. A few hours at best.

And one more thing I noticed is that it is drying for my skin. Guess my skin doesn't like Brazil Nut Oil. Ahh Well.

Ingredients:
Water, Orbignya Oleifera (Babassu) Oil, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Butter, Bertholletia Excelsa (Brazil) Nut Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Silica, Dimethicone, Juglans Regia (Walnut) Shell Powder, Sorbitan Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Benzyl Alcohol, PEG-100 Stearate, Carbomer, Evening Primrose Seeds, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, Xanthan Gum, Methylparaben, Sodium Hydroxide, Propylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Tocopherol, Denatonium Benzoate, Caramel.

Would I recommend? Nah. My fave is still the Cocoa Butter.

    1. I actually liked the scent in the Body Butter :) But it left my skin dry for some reason. I'll have to try the Mango scrub one day. I have the body butter just haven't tried it yet...
