NARS HAUL

I'm still upset with NARS' customer service and will be taking a break from buying their products, however I actually ordered this BEFORE they ticked me off. NARS had a 20% off sale for Black Friday and Cyber Monday and I wanted to take that opportunity to pick up some of the things that were on my wish list.

I got three things because as you know, Nars is expensive.

NARS Casino Bronzer
I swatched this in the store a couple times and was never impressed, mostly because as per youtube I was interested in using it to contour. But what I had to realize is that it's not a contour powder, although many people seem to use Laguna to contour. Bronzer can add definition to the face but it's not really meant to contour, besides this isn't really dark enough to show up as a contour on my skin anyway. So I intend to try it strictly as bronzer and seeing if I like it or not. So far, I'm not really impressed but I only used it once......it has nice subtle shimmer in it though that I'm hoping I will like.

NARS Gina
I've used this once and I am so glad I ordered it. I heard a youtube raving about it on darker skin tones so I had to pick it up. It's definitely not something I would have ever really picked up had I seen it in person but I think this might be one of my favorite shades...I've only used it once though so I'll have to see if it holds up. It looks pale and when most people reccommend a blush they recommend plums, wines, and deeper pinks. Never really something like this. So I had to see what the fuss was about. When I watched I felt it was meh. But when I put it on...the magic happened. It doesn't look peachy, on my it looks like the most subtle pink glow that's literally coming from within. It's like brushing instant "pretty" on. This blush is teaching not the judge a swatch by it's color. Trying it on makes all the difference.

NARS Lovejoy
And last but not least we have NARS Lovejoy. It was described as a "bronzed rose" but I don't see any bronze in it, which would have nice as I don't have a bronze-y blush. But for some reason it is pretty red. It's subtle and it is nice but I was underwhelmed a little by it. But I've only used it once so maybe it will grow on me. I dunno. While we are talking about bronze blush, anyone have a good recommendation?

And that's it. If I buy anymore NARS it probably won't be until they have another sale...NEXT year.

What are your favorite shades?
