My Collection of Bronzers/ Bronzer Swatches

Before I get into my bronzer collection....I just want to ramble a bit about about MAC. Mac Viva Glam specifically. Why do they never collaborate with....likable people? In my opinion, they keep picking "brats". Ever since I saw that video of Ariana Grande licking those donuts in the donut shop and putting them back for someone else to buy,  I haven't had the best opinion of her. That's actually putting it mildly. Same way I feel about Miley. Why, MAC? I want to support Vivia Glam because I love what it stands for but at the same time I want it to be a collaboration with someone I actually like. Like Taylor Swift, her makeup is always flawless. Or Katy Perry. I would love a Katy Perry Viva Glam.

Anyway, rant done. I feel better. So let me get into the bronzer swatches. I have four. It took me a long time to get into bronzers. It's difficult to figure out bronzers, especially being on the darker spectrum which is why it took me so long to try them out. Most bronzers seem to be made for lighter women. But brown women can look especially nice wearing bronzer too!

1. Covergirl Ebony Bronze- This is the first bronzer I bought. It's probably the most recommended on the tube (youtube). It took me a little trial and error before I started loving it. I had to find the right brushes to use with it. Currently my favorite brushes to bronze with are the MAC 134 or the E.L.F Complexion brush. It can be difficult to find deeper bronzers, especially at a reasonable price. I love this because it adds a lot of warmth to my face and it makes my skin appear smoother. It's the strangest thing but when I use it, the places it's not even on look super smooth and almost pore less. It's not an everyday thing but when I do use...watch out!

It's a deep red based bronzer that has shimmer in the pan but it doesn't transfer to the face.

I have a pic of me wearing it rather heavy so I'll go ahead and add that in. I don't normally wear it that heavy. Plus I could have blended a little more. Ah well.

2. NARS Casino Bronzer- I bought this because I wanted the equivalent of Nars Laguna for darker skin. Most people use Laguna to "contour", so that's what I wanted it for. This is not a contour product though!. It's a bronzer. It doesn't add color...it just adds a nice luminosity to my skin. It has some gold sparkle in it but it's very subtle. I really like it so far though.
You can't really see it much in my swatch but you should be able to see the luminosity.

3. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer- This bronzer smells delicious! And that's where my positive comments end. It's way to cool and light to use as a bronzer. I do use it lightly as a setting powder every now and again. Too Faced finally released a darker version which I may try one day if I ever use up my current stash. It's nice they are trying to add more diversity to their products. I guess.

Too cool and too light.

4. Too Faced Sun Bunny- Another bronzer I received in a kit. This is another one that creates luminosity. You can use them separately but I tend to just swirl together. It's OK. Honestly I've only used it about twice. I need to use it more and do a review! But at this point it's not something I would repurchase.

Almost looks metallic here.

And that completes my collection. My favorite hands down is the Covergirl Bronzer. I want to get the medium shade just to try it out. But when it's properly blended the ebony is amazing.

What's your favorite bronzer?
