Yankee Candle Witches Brew Three Wick Candle Review

It's probably too late to do a Halloween candle review .but I'm just gonna do it anyway. I had a coupon code to use so I thought I would get Witches Brew. I had one of these candles years ago that I got on clearance and it was the perfect Halloween scent. I loved it. IDK why I haven't tried more halloween type scents- I just love a spooky scent.

Yankee claims:

The sleek, modern design of our 18-ounce, 3-Wick Tumbler Candle mingles well with any décor. Made with 3 wicks for enhanced fragrancing and increased ambiance.

  • Witches' Brew
  • BLACK
  • Keep wick trimmed to 1/8".
  • The spicy sweet aroma of exotic patchouli casts a captivating spell!

I had written off Yankee Candle since I bought quite a few duds back in the day. But I've heard some good things about them lately and was a little surprised they sell three wicks now. They really seem like a copy of the Bath and Body ones- right down to the claims that they contain essential oils. I think the Yankee ones seem  higher quality though and I have always like their scents more than BBW ones as those were always more synthetic.

When I first had this candle years back I had no idea what it smelled like. Now that I've sniffed more, I know that this is a Paatchouli Vanilla scent with a hint  nighttime smokiness. It smells like someone took Halloween night air into the candle. I think the scent was a little smokier in the past and this is sweeter- but I still really enjoy the candle. Especially at night.

It's interesting that Patchouli Vanilla has been deemed a Halloween scent-not only by Yankee but by Lush. Their Lord of Misrule Shower gel and various other Halloween things are also Patchouli Vanilla and Halloween themed.

The throw is not as good as I remember the smaller size being. It can scent a larger room and if you have a large open space it can scent a part of that room. It could be stronger though. But it's not bad and not undetectable.

The jar feels high quality and it also feels heavy. The burn time is supposed to be 35-50 hours so you get a nice burn time- but it isn't very long. That's probably because of the three wicks.

I don't really love the look of the three wick jars- I think I like a single wick smaller jar aesthetically but it's OK. Just something to burn up, clean out, and throw in the glass recycling.

Overall, I still love this scent even though it's sweeter than I remember it being.
