Lord of Misrule scented Lush product number three. I used the Boo Shower Slime, and the Lord of Misrule Bath Bomb prior the this. The bath bomb without a doubt is my favorite form for this scent. I still like the scent, but not as much for a shower although it's definitely the most cost effective over a one time bath bomb use. And lush is raising their prices. Bummer.
Lush claims:
A feast for the senses in the shower! Get down and earthy with this mischievous, herbal blend of patchouli, peppercorn and black pepper with an intriguing vanilla absolute sweetness.
Lord of Misrule is the scent of Vanilla, Patchouli, and Black pepper. It smells amazing. It really does. So good that I don't think it fits as well into a shower product. I don't think I felt the same when I reviewed the Boo Shower gel, maybe it just went with the Halloween theme better. Who knows? But I definitely preferred it as a bath scent. I think I would also like it in a perfume, might have to pick it up one of these days. It's really just a sweet, earthy, kinda mysterious scent.
The scent isn't super, maybe medium. Unfortunately I don't really smell it lingering much after I get out the shower and I wish I did.
It's also green. Very green. But it doesn't leave green everywhere in the shower, sometimes Lush gets a little color happy and you can end up with stains of whatever color shower gel you are using everywhere.
The gel itself is nice, bubbly, rinses clean, a little goes a long way but I still use a ton. And non-drying. I can skip moisturizing with no issues.
It has nice ingredients, all the scent note it claims is actually in the formula.
Ingredients:
Black Peppercorn infusion, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Lauryl Betaine, Perfume, Titanium Dioxide, Black Pepper Oil, Dark Sumatran Patchouli Oil, Vanilla Absolute, Wheatgerm Oil, Carageenan Extract, Water, Propylene Glycol, Limonene, Linalool, Colour
Overall, it is a nice quality shower gel. If you like rich scents in the shower and especially Patchouli and Vanilla I would recommend it.
