Zum Mist Frankincense and Myrrh Aromatherapy Room and Body Mist Review

I really should be outside washing my car. But it's Monday- and even though I'm not feeling this season of the Last of Us, I am going to watch it. I just find the writing, pacing, acting, dialogue to not be as great as the first season. I'm hope it's not as bad as House of Dragons- but I don't have a lot of hope. Let me get on with this post so I can get started on that....

Zum claims:

The sultry sweetness of earthy frankincense combines with rich scent of myrrh to make the perfect power couple.

Zum Mist Frankincense & Myrrh Room & Body Spray contains an aromatic blend of earthy and sweet essential oil aromas that can bring on fragrant bliss or chase away the worst smells that your gym bag, car, or home can hide. You can even use Frankincense & Myrrh Zum Mist on your body for a delicate, alluring scent that will have people asking “What scent are you wearing?”

*Frankincense products contain phthalate-free, paraben-free fragrance oil.

I bought this spray years and years ago...right before I moved and then I lost it in the move. I think it turned up later on and there was a bottle of it in my parents house when I went back to the states. I feel like it was probably mine...but who knows?  I don't necessarily want it back anyway.

I've used a few things from the Frank and Myrrh line. I tried the soap and the bath salts years and years ago.  Almost forgot I also tried the oil. I bought this spray when I went to New York. I forgot what I bought it for but I brought it back with me and I've been using it ever since.

I think at some point I really liked the scent- but these days I really dislike it. Something about it reminds of the old Avon oil? IDK it just smells very artificial in a way. I think there are other scents from Zum that smell so much better.

It is very incense, heavy, woodsy and exotic smelling. So I don't wear it.... I do like to use it in the the bathroom though. I spray it and it just lingers and lingers around and even though I don't like the scent- it makes the bathroom smell pretty nice.

It does have a layer of glycerin to it, so you should shake it before you use it. I guess the glycerin is good for the skin. And you could probably use it in your hair if you hair likes glycerin based products.  I would try it but I don't want the scent my hair.

I haven't noticed the glycerin sticking to any surfaces or making things slippery which is one thing I worried about looking at the ingredients.

Ingredients:

Water, Fragrance (fragrance oil/essential oil), Glycerin

I will happily use the bottle/keep it as a bathroom spray. But next time I would buy a different scent.

Lush Celebrate Body Spray Review

I bought this in the half off sale, otherwise I might not have picked it up because the price for the body sprays are a little high. But I think they might actually be worth it.

Lush claims:

                                                                            Pop the corks, it's time!

Clear, fruity orange oil mixes with the invigorating aroma of limes and the intoxicating warming scent of                 brandy oil to create a refreshingly fragrant cocktail.Contained ingredients and their fragrances:Brazilian orange oil brings a little sunny scent to short, dark, cold days. That's why we use a lot of it. Brandy oil provides a bubbly, tipsy note. It is obtained from the sediment of the barrels in which wine ferments. It is mainly produced in Romania, France and Italy. Ours comes from the latter country.Lime oil provides a clear top note and smells really clear, refreshing and sweet at the same time. These products fit perfectly with the Celebrate Body Spray:

Start the evening with a Golden Wonder bath bomb. Enjoy the Celebrate fragrance and golden-blue color vortex
- Give your skin party glow with our Ocean Salt face and body scrub. Lime oil and sea salt exfoliate and make your complexion shine.
Use gentle, firm Minamisoma shower oil and enjoy wonderfully soft, cleansed and radiant skin. It is suitable for sensitive skin instead of a shower gel.

Here's how it works:
Spray your body with this and surround yourself with a fragrance that is unparalleled in terms of fresh, beguiling festivity!

First, let's talk packaging. I like the all black packaging with the huge sprayer that you usually see on cleaning products. I believe the bottle is supposed to be made of recycled plastic which is another plus. But unlike some of the other black plastic packaging, it's not part of the things you can buy and return to get a free face mask. I am still going to repurpose the bottle and put my cleaning mixes in it. I have a few bottles that are getting older and could use replacing. The bottles are kinda cute.

The scent of this is the same as the Golden Wonder bath bomb.  It's one of my top favorite bath bombs.

The color of the water and the scent just puts me in ultimate relax mode. I fell asleep the first time I used one-right in the bathtub.

It's a boozy, orange/citrus party of a scent.

And it smells almost exactly the same as the bath bomb. I think the boozy element is a littler stronger in the spray. I thought I was going to love this in the body spray since I love it in the bath bomb form. But...it works better as a bath scent. I like it in this form...but I don't love it.

The quality is excellent. I have never had a body spray last so long. You can spray a few sprays and it lasts the whole day and then some. It sticks to your clothing exceptionally well. I think it's the best quality body spray I have ever used!

I love that the ingredients have essential oils, I feel like I can really pick up on the orange. I do have green cognac essential oil but I haven't really given it a comparative sniff, from what I remember it does kinda smell reminiscent of this spray.

Ingredients:
DRF Alchohol, Water, Limonene, Perfume, Brazilian Orange Oil, Glycerin,

Vitis Vinifera Oil, Lime Oil, Citral, Citronellol, Gerniol, Linalool

Overall, I wouldn't get this particular one again but I will definitely be trying out another scent.

Evian Brumisateur Mineral Water Facial Spray Review

I had a moment where I thought I would need to replace my phone. Even though the screen has been cracked for a little while I don't really want to replace the phone just yet. Phones are crazy expensive these days and I'm a Apple loyalist. But I haven't bought a new phone in quite awhile and since I saw the almost screen of death I should probably just replace it sooner than later. But I really, really don't want to. Bummer.

Anyway...let me stop going on about phones and get to reviewing the Evian facial Spray.

Evian claims:

Revive makeup & refresh skin

- Spray lightly at any time throughout the day to wake up and rehydrate skin.
- Spray over makeup to revive color and reset powders.
BEAUTY TIP: Quickly spray to cool down on hot or humid days without messing up makeup.

Soothe & calm sensitive skin

- Generously apply to irritated skin for a calming and soothing effect.
- Mist skin after spa treatments or at-home facials to cool skin and replenish its essential hydration.
- Safe for all skin types, even the most delicate.
FAMILY TIP: Use during diaper changes to cool and soothe baby's irritated skin.

Blend & finish makeup

STEP 1: Thoroughly spray a cosmetic sponge or brush with evian® Facial Spray.
STEP 2:  Blend makeup in a gentle, circular motion using the moistened sponge or brush for a flawless, airbrushed finish.
STEP 3: Mist over finished look for a dewy complexion.

Boost skin's hydration

STEP 1: Mist generously after cleansing skin.
STEP 2: Wait a few moments to let skin absorb the unique mineral content of evian®.
STEP 3: Pat dry before applying morning or evening moisturizer.
SKINCARE TIP: Use anytime throughout the day for an extra boost of hydration!

Evian® Facial Spray contains pure, natural evian® water. Unlike other sprays, evian® Facial Spray provides an ultra-fine microdroplet mist that allows the upper layers of skin to absorb the unique mineral content only found in evian® water. This process allows the skin to experience an unparalleled boost of natural hydration. Pure evian® Facial Spray won't irritate skin and is safe for all skin types

Evian® Facial Spray is committed to protecting the environment and the natural purity of our source. Our facial spray cans are made from 100% recyclable materials and we aim to minimize the amount of plastic in our packaging. Unlike other atomizers, our spray is propelled by ozone-friendly nitrogen (nitrogen is about 80% of the air we breath!).

My Mac Fix Plus was on its last few sprays when I came across the Evian sprays in Globus on sale for two euro. I'm pretty sure the spray is well over $12 in the US. I remember seeing the mini version at the check out and I thought they were kinda pricey. I really did manage to get it at a bargain. I'm glad I waited it out!

I actually bought two and considered going back for more later but I didn't make it.

The first thing I noticed...it's very refreshing. Spraying cool water on your face on a hot day is so nice. But I'm pretty sure you can just fill a spray bottle with water and get the same effect.

There's no scent because it's only water. And I'm happy about that. The MAC Fix Plus scent was kind of overwhelming sometimes and I remember wishing it was lighter in fragrance.

It kind of settles a powdery makeup look down. But not as well as Fix plus. I like that it doesn't make me look greasy at all. It dries down and my skin just looks normal.

It doesn't extend the wear time of your makeup, in fact I noticed my eyeshadow would wear off after a couple of hours. Even with primer. I would try to avoid the eye area...but if I'm looking to feel refreshed it kind of defeats the purpose because I like to spray it all over.

I sometimes will use it to moisten my face before adding an oil face to seal in some extra moisture. I liked using it for that, but felt it was kind of wasteful. I'll still use it like that occasionally though.

I almost forgot to add, I did use it on some irritated skin I had and it was very soothing.

Overall, I like it at the price I bought it at. I probably wouldn't like it if I had paid more. I will use up the bottles I have and would pick it up if I saw it for the bargain price of 2 Euro. Otherwise I would just add water to a spray bottle and make it work that way.

Have you tried it? What's your favorite facial spray?

Bath & Body Works Endless Weekend Fragrance Mist Review

My new favorite videos to watch on youtube are "What's In My Z Palette?". Although I could never depot my own stuff because I love some of the original packaging so much. Sometimes it's all about the packaging! And I think Z Palettes are kind of tacky. And I'm not a big cardboard packaging fan. Having said that I've never seen a Z Palette in person so they could be much sturdier than I think. Anyway, enough rambling on about Z Palettes.

Bath and Body Works claims:
Lavishly splash or lightly spritz your favorite fragrance, either way you'l fall in love at first mist! Our carefully crafted bottle and sophisticated pump delivers great coverage while conditioning aloe mist nourishes skin for the lightest, most refreshing way to fragrance!
  • Top Notes: Raspberry Lychee Sorbet, Sparkling Mandarin, Juicy Nectarine, Apple, Mirabelle Plum
  • Mid Notes: Sun-Kissed Magnolia, Gardenia, Plum Blossom, Fresh Picked Jasmine Sambac
  • Dry Notes: Vanilla Sandalwood, Vanilla Orchid, Blue Coconut Water, Sugared Mus
I haven't been in Bath and Body works in years. And still haven't. I got this from my mom. Every now and again she empties her cabinet. And she had this. I'm not really sure why, because she never wears anything from Bath and Body Works. So I usually end up with it. Like this body mist.

When I first sprayed it, I really liked it. It was fruity and fresh. But as I kept using it, I got sick of it. It kind of has this Glade bathroom spray note to it. And I don't want to be reminded of bathroom spray every time I use a body mist. As far as the note- I do get the raspberry- the rest is a mystery to me. I'm still not very good at picking out scent notes. It also smells pretty strongly of alcohol when you first spritz, but it does dissipate pretty quickly.

Luckily it doesn't linger too long-unless you spray it on your clothes. When I spray it on my body, it seems to barely last past me walking out the bathroom.

I am impressed by the packaging. Back in the day, Bath and Body Works sprays used to come in the same packaging as cheap Walmart body sprays. I actually really like the new bottle designs. Now that I think about it, it's probably been around for a while now, and I'm just now noticing.

I really hate that Bath and Body Works never lists the ingredients. But their ingredients hasn't really changed in years. It's definitely not natural and it's full of alcohols. Probably not the most natural body spray out there.

Overall, it's not for me. I can't wait to use the bottle up and move on.

My favorite scent that Bath and Body Works has done is the Black Amethyst. If you are looking for a mist, I would recommend that one.

Victoria's Secret Passion Struck Fragrance Mist

Not so long ago I reviewed the shower gel in this same scent. I was put off by Victoria's Secret for a long time but ever since I got the gift set with this scent.. I'm not so put off by the scents. So if I see a sale on the stuff I just might pick some up....

Maybe.

Victoria's Secret claims:
Seductive and alluring, the new VS Fantasies Passion Struck Fragrance Mist ignites passion and intensity. The perfect finishing touch with skin benefits

So the scent....it smells like green apple/red apples mixed with a rich vanilla added in. But not how you would imagine just straight natural apple mixed with vanilla smells. It has the "Victoria's Secret" smell to it. All the scents in the line seem to have the same base vanilla scent and this has that.

I really like it. I don't find it lasts long on me...but it sticks to my clothing quite a bit.

It's a nice smell. I really like it...but don't think I have to have it again once I run out.

The only thing I don't really like is the bottle. It looks kinda tacky to me The actual plastic bottle is cute but the gold sprayer is just ugly for some reason. I like that you can see through the bottle and see the flower design printed on the other side of the sticker (hard to explain but really cute).

I don't have the full size, I have the 4.2 once size which is perfect for carrying in your bag on the go. Which is where I keep mine.

As for ingredients...we won't even talk about that. All types of fake colors and weird things that probably shouldn't be in sprayed on your body.

Overall, I really like it. If you enjoy Victoria's Secret scents and love apples/vanilla...it's one that is worth sniffing.

Bath and Body Works Midnight Pomegranate Fragrance Mist

I rarely ever review things from Bath and Body Works. I need to try more stuff from them but I can never catch a sale there anymore. Anywho, I got this free from my mom. It must have been on sale.

Bath and Body Works claims:
Lavishly spritz our refreshing Fragrance Mist all over your body to leave skin lightly scented with our exclusive, enticing Midnight Pomegranate, a fiery fruit and spice blend that conjures an image of rubies sparkling in moonlight.
  • Fragrance Top Notes: Pomegranate, Sparkling Citrus, Dewberry, Anise, Cinnamon, Nutmeg
  • Fragrance Mid Notes: Cassis, Blackberry, Iris, Jasmine, Raspberry
  • Fragrance Base Notes: Musk, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Tobacco, Patchouli

Scent:
Forget about all those top note, middle note, and bottom notes. All I smell is a sickly medicinal smell. No wonder my mom gave this to me. I HATE this stuff. And I rarely say I hate a product. Even still I hate to waste so I wear it to sleep. But the positive thing is it lingers. I did like it at first though. Blech. Maybe the lotion and other stuff in the line smells better.

Packaging:
I'm waiting for Bath and Body works to get rid of this old, boring, plastic spray botte. I wish they would bring back the packaging with the pictures on it. Sigh.

Do I recommend?
Hell no. Run...run very far. Like I said I only wear it at night when I'm positive no one will be able to smell it.

The Body Shop Vanilla Body Mist

I first heard about this product when I was working in The Body Shop and a customer came in and asked me if we carried the "vanilla spray". Of course we didn't because our stock of their products were extremely limited. Of course, that peaked my curiosity. And I went on the website and sure enough they had it.

I bought this last year when they had the basket event where you buy a basket for a fiver and everything is half off. This is originally thirteen but I got it for six something.

The Body Shop says:
A refreshing, non-greasy body mist that moisturizes and helps to soften the skin, leaving it subtly scented with a sweet, warm and spicy vanilla fragrance.

So, looking at it, it looks like a rip off. I'm used to the eight ounces of body mists that Bath and Body Works gives you. Not this 3.3 ounces that is waayyy more expensive also.

The quality:
But after using it I see why. This is much better quality in my opinion. I can spritz two sprays and this lasts ALL DAY. Longer if you spritz your clothes.

The scent:
At first I didn't really like the scent though. It sprays as a more floral vanilla. BUT, as it wears it turns into the yummiest foodie vanilla. I absolutely love it. This is definitely one of my favorite scents.

Do I recommend?
Heck yeah!! Run down to The Body Shop and sample it NOW. If you can get it on sale, thats better, but I could actually see myself paying full price. I'll be trying out the parfum, and the oil..one day. Oh yeah, one more important thing, the men love it. And that's always a good thing.

Bath and Body Works Black Amethyst Fragrance Mist

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the smell of this spray. This has got to be my absolute favoritest scent of all time. I first had this in the travel size. I think that one was better. It lasted longer. This one unfortunately dissipates quickly. I still love it though. I'm bad at describing scents but the scent is just plain SEXY. I paid ten fifity for it but it usually runs twelve dollars.

I don't like the new bottles they use. It just looks blah. I think they should go back to the old packaging.

Bath and Body Works Says:
Lavishly spritz our refreshing fragrance mist all over your body to leave skin lightly scented with our exclusive Black Amethyst, a hypnotic scent inspired by chic, sensual and confident women.

Fragrance Top Notes: Bergamot Italian Oprur, Juicy Mandarin, Sparkling Tangerine, Zesty Orange, Waterfruits, Crisp Melon
Fragrance Mid Notes: Lily of the Valley, Magnolia Blossom, Sheer Gardenia, Tuberose, Freesia, Peony Petals, Camellia
Fragrance Base Notes: Patchouli, Sandalwood, Vetiver, Vanilla, Musk

If you haven't given this a sniff, go ahead and try it. It smells yummy.

Calgon Hawaiian Ginger Body Mist

This is perhaps the first scent I ever fell in love with. I got this as a gift in middle school and I decided to revisit the scent. And it still smells as good as it did back then. I'm not the best at describing scents but I would say I definitely smell watermelon. But good watermelon. I know if someone told me watermelon I would be like, hhhhmmm I pass.

It can last all day depending on how you use it. It's definitely worth a try and you can get it at Wally World for only a few dollars. Run and get it. Or at least sample it.

Calgon Pear Caramel Body Mist

I HATE this stuff. For real. Let me explain, I picked this up in the store because I was in a rush. I did not stop to smell it.....I just picked it up and rushed through check out. So, I go home and go to smell this stuff.

OH. MY. GOD.

When you spray this it's just ...revolting...... I don't know how else to explain it....like caramel alchohol....it makes my stomach turn. After about thirty minutes it seems to dry down...and smells a little better...like something you could possibly deal with.....but not really...I think this stuff could be guy repellant.

Never Again.

But it can make a nice room spray ironically.
