Nudy Rudy Milk Bar Goat Milk Soap Review

I predict I will be rolling into bed very early tonight because I can barely keep my eyes open now. I didn't get much sleep last night and after work I ran to the store and then cooked what is basically Sunday dinner. It's still cooking. In the meantime, I wanted to get this soap review done so I can move on to trying the other brands I have in my ever growing collection.

Nudy Rudy claims:

Great for those with more sensitive skin, our Milk Bar has a fresh, clean smell without being overpowering. Known for keeping skin nourished and moisturized,  goat milk is next level skincare. And just think, someone milked a goat so you don't have to. The official G.O.A.T milk soap with Shea Butter.

Made in Australia

This is the last of the bundle I bought. Thank goodness. I don't think this brand will be making its way on this blog anymore. It's not horrible though. Just not for me.

This is their sensitive skin bar. So less scent? It seems to be the same scent as the Killa Vanilla but much less. So much less that you can't really smell it in the shower. So it's pretty much an unscented experience. I think because of that you don't get the odd underlying scent that some of the other bars have that is very off-putting to me. This was way more bearable than the others but I want my shower experience to include a nice scent. Makes starting the day easier.

It's goat milk soap. All Nudy Rudy seems to have one special ingredient- honey, goat milk, berry extract, something. I like goat milk soap. Most of them are really nice and more nourishing to the skin than other soaps. This one- I can skip moisturizer. It didn't dry my skin but left a weird white coating on my hands.

Other than that- lathered nice. Rinses clean everywhere except my hands.

One thing I've been wondering is if this is an Australian brand that Australians use. Or if it's a brand that is just made for export? I know this brand seems to have popped up everywhere overnight which makes me wonder about it.

Ingredients:

Sodium Palmate*, Sodium Palm Kernelate*, Aqua*, Sodium Gluconate*, Fragrance, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter*, Palm Acid*, Glycerin*, Goat Milk*, Sodium Chloride*, Titanium Dioxide*

Overall, not for me. I basically let this one melt down in the shower to get rid of it and used it excessively over the last few days. It's the best of the four I tried but I just can't say I like it much.

Beekman 1802 Honey and Orange Blossom Goat Milk Soda Review

I'm so proud of myself. I went to the meat market today...something I always intend to do but never actually get to. The goal was to pick up some Picanha steaks but I didn't like the selection. So I didn't end up buying it. Maybe in a few months I'll make it back  to check out the selection again.

In the meantime...I have yet more soap to review. I finally got my hands on some Beekman soaps. It's a brand I've been meaning to try for a couple of years now. It finally made it in my cart because now they sell it local to me so I can easily just grab them and go. And I grabbed a bunch. I have 10... including this one. So I'' be reviewing a good chunk of their soaps in the next year.

Beekman claims:

A super-hydrating foamy soap infused with the citrusy goodness of sparkling white nectarine, and enriched with shea butter for all day moisture.

Creamy goat milk and botanicals deeply nourish and moisturize skin, giving you long-lasting freshness with a velvety foaming lather that cleanses without stripping skin’s moisture.

Benefits:

  • 100% vegetable soap base that gets you squeaky-clean–without the squeak
  • Triple-milled to last even longer, extending all of the benefits of nourishing goat milk down to the very last lather
  • Goat Milk boosts skin health with the same pH as human skin, and it’s rich in lactic acid, vitamins, and minerals to help renew and strengthen skin

Top: Apricot, White Nectarine
Middle: Mimosa, Pink Peony, Apple Peel
Bottom: Creamy Vanilla

Essential Oils; Orange, Davana

Made in USA

I didn't grab all 10 at once. I started with the mini four pack. Opened this one...really liked it and decided I had to get more. Then I saw another variety pack and I also the chocolate soap. Added in the Pistachio and Dark Cherry because it was the last one and I have wanted more pistachio scents.

I've had this scent combination before- first in a long discontinued Nivea body wash and also in a South of France Soap Bar. I liked both of those so it's not surprising that I really liked this. It's a light scent but so nice. I really love the scent. It's a little citrus- but not citrus. Very fresh and slightly green. But it's very light. I wish the scent was a little stronger. It would be great for those that like a light scent.

I'm not a stranger to Goat Milk soaps. I tried a bunch of Zum Bars. I really like them. Those were more of a natural hand crafted type of bar- these are triple milled made in a factory type of soap. It will last a little longer than the Zum bars so can feel like better value for your money depending on the price.

One thing I really like is how much lather you get. You only need a little to produce a rich thick lather. I could probably use a lot less than I use but I like a lot of bubbles. It rinses clean. And I have noticed a difference my skin- it's been softer and bit smoother since I've been using this bar.

I bought this for a steal of a deal since I bought it in the multi-pack. It ended up coming out to $4.25. A great price compared to the 8.00 list price.

And since it's bar soap- no plastic waste. Just toss the paper in the recycle and keep it moving.

I like the ingredients- it has Jojoba Oil, Goat Milk (of course), Kukui Nut Oil, Honey and Shea Butter.

Ingredients:

Sodium Palmate, Sodium Cocoate and/or Palm Kernelate, Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Fragrance (Parfum), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Caprae Lac (Goat Milk), Aleurites Moluccana Seed Extract (Kukui Nut Oil), Honey, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Titanium Dioxide, Sodium Chloride, Pentasodium Pentetate.

Overall, I really like it. I have the 3.5 ounce size and I wish I had the larger size- it kinda reminds me of other lux soap brands- Fresh, Claus Porto, etc.

Nudy Rudy Killa Vanilla Soap Review

Back today with a Nudy Rudy review. I bought four of them at a time- and kinda wish I hadn't since I am not a fan of their soaps.

Nudy Rudy claims:

Just a tony teaspoon of real vanilla gives this puck its warm, vanilla-y energy. The subtle blend of Shea Butter balances out the sweet making this the perfect soap for just about everybody. long, lasting, triple milled, and made by Aussie's with love.

Unique Scents, Sustainably sourced,  No Harsh Chemicals

Made in Australia

In bath and body everything is vanilla scented- except soap. I never come across a straight up vanilla soap. Vanilla mixed with patchouli, rose, lavender, orange, peppermint, and all sorts of stuff but never on its own.  I have tried a a few vanilla shower gels though- Lush American Cream,  and Body Shop Vanilla Shower Gel- which is long discontinued.  I think thats really all for vanilla shower products.

We will start off with the scent- it smells pretty good before you get it in the shower. It really reminds of of another soap I tried  years ago- Pistachio and Goat Milk.  It even kinda lingered around the bathroom and made it smell amazing.

The problem is when you go to use it-  there is this underlying scent of hot dog water, sausage, or BBSo it has a vanilla meat smell when you get it wet. Not pleasant. Now that I'm down to the last little sliver- that scent has largely gone away but I had to wait til the last little bit and that is not ideal.

I've been basically letting it melt when I use it...and using it excessively because I dislike it so much. It can be kinda drying- the last few times I've gotten out the shower my hands have been SO dry.

Ingredients are simple- I like that there is Shea and Vanilla Extract. Whenever I see Shea I always wonder if they are paying fair trade prices...they don't mention it on the site but just something that crosses my mind.

ingredients:

Sodium Palmate*, Sodium Palm Kernelate*, Aqua*, Sodium Gluconate*, Fragrance, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter*, Palm Acid*, Glycerin*, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract*, Sodium Chloride*

Overall, like all the other soaps I've tried from the brand it missed the mark for me.

Maison Francis Kurkjian A La Rose Scented Soap Review

Have ya'll seen all the Bridgerton collab things- there are so many coming out!  Some of them seem OK like the Betty Crocker stuff...I would be all over it if I didn't bake and prefer baking from scratch. They really seem like they tried to bring something different to the market too which is exciting.  There are lip balms, soaps, spices. All the things. I'm probably gonna go searching after I finish this post to see if there is anything I need...

MFK claims:

À la rose Scented Soap gently cleanses your skin while releasing a fragrant, soft and delicately-textured foam. A light and sensual fragrance showcasing two exceptional roses: Damascena rose and Centifolia rose. They build on one another to offer a musky floral perfume which is in turn subtle and exuberant. À la rose boldly combines the elegance of radiant femininity with whimsical carefree style. For infinitely soft skin, the soap, stamped with the Maison Francis Kurkdjian monogram, is enriched with coconut oil, known for its hydrating, nourishing and invigorating properties.

Notes: Musks, Sweet Pea, Centifolia Rose, Damascene Rose, Violet

Made in France

In the meantime, a soap review. For awhile there I really wanted a rose scented soap. I tried a few- Pre De Provence Rose Petal,  Mistral Rose Poivree,  and Jo Malone Red Roses.  I've come to learn rose soaps really aren't my jam. I don't really like them. And spending more didn't change that.

This was a treat myself type of thing. I had a coupon code that gave me ten dollars off so I decided to go for it and get something I wouldn't normally buy. I've used soaps from Chanel and Dior but this is priced well  above those. I can tell you I would rather buy those over this anyway.

This is just powdery rose all the way. Very similar to Jo Malone Red Roses. Which I also didn't enjoy. It's pretty strong- not too strong. It doesn't linger or scent the bathroom once you rinse it away but most bar soaps don't. It just smells like an old lady rose scent.

I do want to talk about the packaging for a minute. You expect something lux in this price point. Not this. Comes in the same kind of box you can get a $5.00 soap in. I was so disappointed when I opened it. They need to do better.

The soap itself is a unique shape. Can't say I have had that shape before- that being said it's not my favorite shape. I think I prefer the way the Chanel/Fresh bar is shaped. It seems more luxurious.

The bar lathers well and is only slightly drying, and rinses clean. It's not immune to soap scum either- just like any other soap.

Ingredients:
Sodium sunflowerseedate; sodium cocoate; aqua (water/eau); parfum (fragrance); sodium chloride; citric acid; tetrasodium glutamate diacetate; glycerin; sodium hydroxide; citronellol; geraniol; geranyl acetate; limonene; hexamethylindanopyran; tocopherol; citrus aurantium peel oil; citrus limon (lemon) peel oil; alpha-isomethyl ionone; linalool; trimethylcyclopentenyl methylisopentenol; pinene; rose flower oil/extract; helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil; pelargonium graveolens flower oil; citral. -

Overall, I didn't like it at all. I think I am finally done looking for the perfect rose soap. The only rose scent for me is Lush Rose Jam (although it is a shower gel and not bar soap).

Nudy Rudy Hunny Bunny Soap Review

Got some more Nudy Rudy to review today...this is my second soap from the brand. And so far I'm not impressed. Not at all.

Nudy Rudy claims:

Say hello to clear skin with a honey glow. Rich in protein, vitamins, and minerals, Manuka Honey is known the cleanse the skin of nasty bacteria. Who doesn't want a glow up blended with natural ingredients with no harsh chemicals in a bar with a soft, sudsy, texture, against the skin? We know we do. This sonp puck has real bees knees vibes. Bunny not included.

Unique Scents, Sustainably Sourced, No Harsh Chemicals.

Made in Australia

The name of this soap sucked me in. I was thinking it might be a dupe of the Lush Honey I Washed the Kids- which is my favorite honey based soap. I might order one next time I make an order from Lush. So not a dupe. I thought I had used soap with Manuka honey but I'm not finding anything where it took center stage. So we will call this one the first.

Starting with the boring- the shape. I'm not a fan of the shape at all. I find it a bit awkward to hold...although the shape is something you don't see often-.  I would rather any other shape when it comes to bar soaps.

Now let's get to the nitty gritty. The scent. It stinks! I really pretty much hate this scent. I don't know what it's supposed to be. And it doesn't say. I think if I had to compare it to any other scent it kinda reminds me of Lush Porridge.  Except Lush Porridge smells amazing and this smells gross. It's trying to be gourmand- I'm guessing. I see so many review of people saying this smells amazing though so maybe it's just the bar I got? Idk.

I dislike it so much I use it on a few areas and rinse and  reach for something I enjoy.

The lather is nice...it has a very different feel from other soaps. It's bubbly, rinses clean, and doesn't seem to dry my skin.

Ingredients:

Sodium Palmate*, Sodium Palm Kernelate*, Aqua*, Sodium Gluconate*, Fragrance, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter*, Palm Acid*, Glycerin*, Leptospermum Scoparium Mel (Manuka Honey)*, Sodium Chloride*, Titanium Dioxide*

I think I hate it. I can't wait til it's gone. I have been intentionally letting it melt under the water so I can be done with it. So far I have tried two of their soaps- and still have two more in the stash. Hopefully they can redeem the brand with the next two  but I don't have high hopes.

Well Kept Hand and Body Soap Review

Just my luck I am going to review this and just realized it must be discontinued. Give the price- not shocking. I'm still gonna review it anyway- just in case they bring it back.

Well Kept claims:

Made from all natural ingredients, this bae soap created light lather that cleanses without stripping. Formulated with coffee seeds to provide gentle exfoliation, this earthy mix of patchouli, black pepper, coriander, and ginger essential oils blend to create and intoxicating aroma

Made in Canada

Luckily I bough this on sale for around $15 but the original list price was over $20. Over $20 for a little bar of fast melting handmade soap is literally insane. The most a bar like this should cost is maybe 6-8 dollars. Maybe $10.  There are so many more reasonably priced handmade brands- even some only scented with essential oils. I don't have a direct dupe of this soap- the essential oil blend is nice if you are a patchouli fan. But it smells like a handmade scented soap- it doesn't scent the soap much and it's very light.

Lather is nice. It lathers well and rinses clean. My skin wasn't dry after. It does have coffee in it to provide scrubbiness. They are a scratchy type of scrubby though. Not my favorite in terms of exfoliating soaps but it's what you come across in most soaps.

Like most handmade soaps it melts fast. A drop of water and it's halfway done. Cutting it in half can help. I didn't do so but probably should have.

I do really like the packaging. It's very unique. Just a little baggie that you can re-use. I have a ton of these from things I have bought here and there.....I don't know what it will hold later on but I do know the baggie does smell great! I need to see if I can blend these oils and make a body oil or something.

I don't think the ingredients are listed right but I'll list them as they have them.

Ingredients: Patchouli Essential Oil, Black Pepper Essential Oil, Coriander Essential Oil, Ginger Essential Oil, Sodium Olivate, Sodium Cocotte, Sodium Castor Oil, Sodium Cocoa Butyrate, Sodium Shea Butyrate, Ceramic Alba, Coffee Arabica Seed Powder

Overall, it's nice. But it is well overpriced. I would only buy this again if the price came way down. That's probably why it was discontinued in the first place. I guess it was still nice to try a new to me brand. I see they make sustainable razors that are also expensive. But they sell imperfect ones. If I ever made the switch over- I would look into getting my hands on one at that discounted price.

Nudy Rudy Berrylicious Soap with Cloudberry Extract and Shea Butter Review

My oven is not cooperating with me at the moment. I thought once I got off work I would try to make another batch of brownies. Some days my oven get's hot enough- other days it just does what it wants. I probably should have just baked in my more accurate small oven. Ah well.

Today we have a new to me brand. Nudy Rudy. Made in Australia. I love trying different brands from other countries so I was excited to see this.

Nudy Rudy claims:

NUDY RUDY was born out of a feeling and desire for the purest form of simplicity: being bold, happy, label-free individuals, or in other words, being NUDY. NUDY RUDY is an expression of freedom and attitude with the aim of bringing body care to every body, giving you a range of personal care products that celebrates your differences, with a little cheeky humor thrown in. Our secret to ensuring a beautiful, velvety texture with long-lasting smooth and silky touch is Shea Butter. Or at least we like to think it would be. Native to the Arctic Circle, Cloudberries have a sweet, tangy smell that makes you forget all the good stuff inside the soap. Made with natural ingredients and no harsh chemicals with love by some crazy Aussies.
  • Cheeky soap with Nordic cloudberry extract. Approved by 70% of all known Vikings.
  • Enriched with shea butter. Soapy, sudsy and soft all over. Get nudy and just add water
  • Berrylicious adds cloudberries that are rich in vitamins and antioxidants for a sweet & tangy smell
  • Plant Oil Soap
  • Made in Australia
  • Cruelty free
  • 4.2 oz when packed

What's a cloudberry? Doesn't sound real does it? According to the Googles it's an amber colored berry that grows in arctic/alpine regions. It's often mistaken for a raspberry or blackberry. They are high in Vitamin C and used in folk medicine. I wish I could try one. Maybe I could find some jam or something one day. So I have no idea what cloudberry is supposed to smell like.

If the soap smells like cloudberry I couldn't tell you. But I can tell you I'm not a fan of the scent of this soap. It smells like something else I have bought before that I can't quite remember.A berry scented soap never appealed to me in the first place. I really didn't think I would like it. And I don't. It's not a bad scent- I just don't enjoy it. Maybe it's a generic berry scent?

It's not strong and doesn't last long.

You get a decent size of soap for the price. I think I got this under five dollars. It's also a hard bar that seems like it would last a decent amount of time. I melted mine down on purpose to try and get rid of it because I wanted to use it up so I could move on to something else.

It comes in nice packaging that is very easily recyclable- no plastic to worry about.

I almost forgot to talk about the shape- which I really dislike. It's an awkward shape to hold. I wish it had any other shape than this. It gets better as it melts down.

It's also the most drying soap I have tried in quite awhile. My skin just feels like the moisture got sucked right out of it. Nothing lotion can't fix but worth noting.

Ingredients are pretty basic- same things you see in most soap.It does have Shea Butter and cloudberry extract. I like that the ingredient list is nice and short.

Ingredients:

Sodium Palmate*, Sodium Palm Kernelate*, Aqua*, Sodium Gluconate*, Fragrance, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter*, Palm Acid*, Glycerin*, Rubus Chamaemorus (Arctic Cloudberry) Fruit Extract*, Sodium Chloride*, Titanium Dioxide*

Overall, this wasn't for me. I do still have about three different scents from the brand so I'll probably be reviewing those very soon. Hopefully I like the other scents a lot more than I liked this.

Fresh Citron De Vigne Bar Soap Review

This weekend really seemed to fly by... but I didn't want to let the weekend get away from me without getting this post up. I'm just looking at the Fresh website and realizing there seems to have been a price increase. I thought when I bought it, it was $16.00. I could be mistaken...but everything just seems to be going up and by crazy amounts lately.
Fresh claims:

A long-lasting, vegetable-based body soap infused with moisturizing shea butter and an addictive scent

These nourishing soaps are milled multiple times, making them super dense, luxurious, and long-lasting. Infused with iconic fresh scents, the soaps are hand-wrapped, tied with a delicate wire, and topped with a semi-precious stone—making them the perfect gift (for others or yourself!).

Scent: a sparkling citrus scent

Made in France

I really like the Fresh soaps. I don't think you can really go wrong..they are a nice, large, quality bar. I've used a few of the scents and I've enjoyed them all. There are only two that I haven't tried: Verbena and Mangosteen, I do eventually plan to get my hands on both but not for a while yet.

They come packaged really nicely (and environmentally friendly) since it's just a paper that you can easily chuck in the paper recycle. They also come with a semi-precious stone. Nice touch but I never know what to do with them so I have just been collecting them until I can find a purpose. It doesn't really tell you which stone it is and I'm not good at recognizing them either- I think I've had a few repeat stones at this point.

But yep- packaged nicely. And it's a nice oval shape which I now associate with more luxurious soaps. It's also practical because less of the soap sits in water- although this is not a soap that will go mushy so probably not needed but nice to see anyway.

It is triple milled- means it will last the average person longer. I tend to go through all soaps pretty quickly since I lather and lather them up. It does last quite a long time anyway though.

As for scent- they don't get too descriptive on their own soap page. It does smell of all the ctirus- with a lot of grapefruit but then some other scents mixed it that jut makes a very pleasant scent to shower in. They do have a plain grapefruit scent- which was nice enough but I definitely prefer this. I truly enjoyed using it everyday and never once did I get tired of it. Citrus scents can sometimes be fleeting in soaps- but I think Fresh does a really good job here.

It kinda reminds me a little of the Lush Golden Wonder scent which is also ctirus/champagne.

It's not a strong scent- it won't linger around the bathroom after....I don't notice it on my skin. It's great for those that don't want an overpowering scent.

It does all the other things you expect from soap- lathers well, rinses clean, not too drying.

Ingredients:

Sodium Palmate, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Aqua (Water), Parfum (Fragrance), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Oil, Palm Acid, Glycerin, Palm Kernel Acid, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Hydroxide, Tetrasodium EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Limonene, Linalool, Hexyl Cinnamal, BHT <06517/A>

Overall, I really enjoyed it. I think Fresh does bar soaps really well. I just wish they would come down in price because they are  quite expensive, I guess at least you do get more soap for your money than with other lux brands.

Irish Spring Moisture Blast Deodorant Soap Review

I had to convince myself to pick up the computer to get this post done. I think mostly because I am just not excited about reviewing this soap. I like Irish Spring- the original scent and I thought this was that but just with extra moisture. I probably should have read the packaging before purchase- but who does that?

Irish Spring claims:

Irish Spring Moisture Blast Bar Soap deodorant bar soap for men is made with a 98% naturally derived formula that keeps you fresh for 12 hours and is suitable for all skin types. Irish Spring Moisture Blast Bar Soap can be used as a hand soap or face wash. It is also paraben, phthalate, and gluten free. The carton is made from 90% recycled paperboard, 60% post-consumer content. Add some adventure to your everyday life with the entire Irish Spring line of body washes and bar soaps for men.

Benefits:

  • Deodorant Soap: 12 hour fresh deodorant soap that leaves you feeling clean
  • Versatile Use: Irish Spring bar soap has a sudsy lather and can be used as a hand soap or a face wash
  • Natural Ingredients: 98% naturally derived formula, gluten free, paraben free, and formulated without phthalates
  • Sustainably Packaged: Carton made from 90% recycled paperboard, 60% post-consumer content
  • This men’s bar soap has a sudsy lather that washes away bacteria and can be used as a hand soap
  • Refreshing Scent: That cool outdoor Freshness? We’re bringing it to the palm of your hand

This is a men's cologne type of scent that I thought smelled nice out the box. But just after I started actually using it- I really started super disliking this soap. It reminded me of a nicer men's soap I bought not too long ago from Hawthorne.  This is just the worse version of it.  If I don't like a scent I just use it on my hands.

I just realized it might sound like I use mens soaps all the time- I don't. I am just kinda curious on some of the scents- sometimes I expect more earthy or woody scents which I'm interested in- but mostly never like. But I guess I'm giving it a shot anyway.

It does melt fast. Speaking of melt- I did try to use it as a hand soap and keeping it by the sink really softens the soap until it turns to mush. It just seems to swell with moisture. Very odd and another thing to dislike about it.

It is moisturizing though. I have no dry skin whatsoever when using it. Elbows and knees are just smooth and hydrated without lotion.

I would usually banish a soap I don't like to use as a makeup brush soap. But I hated the way this left my brushes feeling. It just made them all stiff where they might otherwise be fluffy with easy movement.

Oh..almsot forgot! The soap scum. These bar soaps tends to produce so much soap scum that just sticks to the shower. So I have to clean the shower more often...

It has some ingredients I don't love- petrolatum, hydrogenated stuff....but it also has things like Linseed oil which I believe to be good for the skin.

Ingredients:

Soap (Sodium Tallowate and/or Sodium Palmate, Sodium Cocoate and/or Sodium Palm Kernelate), Water, Glycerin (Skin Conditioner), Hydrogenated Tallow Acid, Petrolatum, Coconut Acid, Fragrance, Sodium Chloride, Polyquaternium-6, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Pentasodium Pentetate, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Corn Starch Modified, PEG-12, Mineral Oil, Propylene Glycol, Polysorbate 80, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Ultramarines.

Overall, I kinda hated it. Of the varieties I have tried I think the Aloe was my favorite and this was my least favorite.  I'm off to use the rest of it...I really overused it and let it run on the water to get it to melt even fast.

Lush Grass Shower Gel Review

I meant to do this post yesterday but I got lazy. So here we are today. I know Grass used to be a part of the permanent collection but then it was discontinued. Then it was brought back by popular demand. And I'm glad because a name like Grass is pretty intriguing. Does it smell like Grass though?

Lush claims:

Fresh, clean and green

Back by popular demand: Grass Shower Gel is the perfect zingy, fresh way to start your day thanks to plenty of nourishing wheatgrass juice. A dash of neroli adds a citrus note to boost your mood and wake you up, while sandalwood soothes the skin and eases the mind. All in all, this clean, green powerhouse is just the thing to get you on your way each morning.

Made in Canada

What's in it for you?

- Wheatgrass juice nourishes skin

- Citrusy neroli boosts moods

- Sandalwood adds a soothing scent

Leaving the world Lusher than we found it

We've made our recyclable bottles thinner to further reduce unnecessary plastic.

I bought this for myself and then also bought a bottle for my Dad since I think this is part of the line up they do for Father's Day.

After I used it I wished I bought a larger bottle. It's one I'm glad they bought  because I'm glad to have tried it!

It's not exactly fresh cut grass but it is a very fresh scent that smells like a nice meadow or spring with a hint of spice to it. I don't think my description is doing it justice but if you like earthy scents similar to something like the Irish Spring bar I think you would like this. I do.

What I love most about the scent is how much it lingers in the bathroom/shower when I am done. That always feels luxury to me although most soaps/shower gels I have used do not do that. I love catching whiffs of it in the hallway.

As for all the other stuff- lathers well, rinses clean, doesn't dry my skin.

It's also the prettiest shade of green.

Lush always has the best ingredients. It does have Sodium Laureth Sulfate but they always use really great fresh ingredients- like fresh wheatgrass. I just realized that's probably where it gets it's name.  I don't know if it does anything great for my skin but I'm one of the people that love to see natural anything in my products. It also has some nice essential oils like Sandalwood, Bergamot, and Neroli.

Ingredients:

Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerine, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Water, Fresh Wheatgrass Juice, Lauryl Betaine, Chlorophyllin Water (Aqua), Fragrance, Sandalwood Oil, Bergamot Oil, Neroli Oil, Fine Sea Salt, *Coumarin, *Benzyl Benzoate, *Limonene, *Linalool, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone

I'm a fan and I have really enjoyed the bottle I have. I could see myself purchasing another bottle somewhere down the line just to experience the scent again.

Fresh Freesia Bar Soap Review

Danessa Myricks has released her latest palette. Which I'm excited about..except for the neutrals. I'm so dissapointed about the neutral shades. I feel like you would only be interested in the LightWork palettes for the interesting sparkly, multi chrome, or flaky shades. The people buying the palette are more than likely makeup lovers that own multiples of all the neutral shades. I don't need another black or grey or brown in the collection. I wish she would just release the interesting shades as singles so I can mix and match that way and also save the world some plastic packaging.

But anywho...

Today we have some soap to review. I really enjoy the Fresh soaps...and this is no exception.

Fresh claims:

A long-lasting, vegetable-based body soap infused with moisturizing shea butter and an addictive scent

Scent: a rich white floral scent

These nourishing soaps are milled multiple times, making them super dense, luxurious, and long-lasting. Infused with iconic fresh scents, the soaps are hand-wrapped, tied with a delicate wire, and topped with a semi-precious stone—making them the perfect gift (for others or yourself!).

Made in France

I've never smelled Freesia. But since it is common in Bath and Body and perfumery...I need to see if I can grow some or get my hands on some. I think way back in the day it was one of the first Bath and Body spray scents I bought.

I'm pretty sure the packaging looked like this. I remember carrying it with me and spraying it in class. Takes me right back to 8th grade.

I don't think this smells similar. And at first I didn't really like it. But after the third or fourth time I used it I really started enjoying it. I didn't want to put it down and rarely strayed although I definitely have a lot of options.

I don't really know how to describe it except a really fresh and modern floral scent. It' not heavy or overpowering. Perfect as a shower scent. But not very memorable. More than likely I won't even remember the scent by next week now that it's gone. But that doesn't mean I don't really like it.

As for the soap part- lathers nice. Rich thick bubbly lather. Rinses clean. Doesn't dry my skin.

I love the shape of the soap. It's the same oval shape as the Chanel soap so that makes it feel luxurious to me. It is quite a large bar..it will last you quite a while. It does feel triple milled but I like to lather and lather and lather and so I use a lot!

Packaging is nice. It comes with a little gem which is a nice touch. I am saving mine for something. Not sure what. And it also comes wrapped in pretty paper. Which is very easy to recycle.

Ingredients:
Sodium Palmate, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Aqua (Water), Parfum (Fragrance), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Oil, Tocopherol, Palm Acid, Glycerin, Palm Kernel Acid, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Hydroxide, Tetrasodium EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, BHT, CI 77288 (Chromium Oxide Greens), CI 77491 (Iron Oxides), CI 77492 (Iron Oxides), Silica, Benzyl Salicylate, Hydroxycitronellal, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Eugenol, Geraniol, Linalool <10961/A>

Overall, not the most memorable....but I enjoyed every minute. I think it would be a more reasonably priced alternative to Jo Malone floral scents like English Pear and Freesia or the Peony and Blushed Suede. I haven't used both of those soaps but having smelled this and those scents...I think these would be nice if you want to save money. They aren't cheap by any means..quite expensive but I guess at least you get a nice big bar.

I have one more in the stash and I do plan on trying the others at some point....

Dove Baby Rich Moisture Hypoallergenic Wash Review

This is not the review I planned to write but I am too lazy to do the post I should. It happens. I also have quite limited time. So I was looking through all the stuff I have and settled at reviewing this baby wash. I like to keep one around these days because I try so many different soaps- I like to have it just in case something doesn't agree with me.

I don't think it's something I would use on a baby by just looking at the ingredients but I'm sure it's fine if you do.

It's OK though. I think mainly I just got bored/tired of the scent. It's a very non-descriptive kinda fresh and very forgettable scent. I've tried other baby products that smelled similar.

It cleans ok. Not a great lather. Rinses Well. No reactions.

I seem to go through a lot because it seems a bit watery.

Water, (Aqua), Glycerin, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Fragrance (Parfum), Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Methyl Lauroyl Taurate, Caprylyl Glycol, Stearic Acid, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Citric Acid, Tetrasodium EDTA.

Overall, wouldn't buy it again in this particular scent but I would try the nighttime version. Maybe the unfragranced version as well.

MoroccanOil Soap Bar Fragrance Original Review

I'm back from vacation- I had a great time. I have always wanted to go to Greece and after years and years (decades probably)- I finally made it. I won't blab on too much- I plan to make a post on it later. In the meantime...I tried yet another new brand. I've been curious about this brand for a little while now...mostly their hair care but I love trying a new soap so I thought I would go ahead and snag this.

Moroccanoil claims:

A body cleansing bar infused with argan oil, aloe leaf extract, and shea butter to help moisturize and strengthen skin. Moroccanoil Body ®

Gentle and effective cleanser for skin in need of hydration. Moroccanoil Soap is a mild body bar that combines antioxidant-rich argan oil, aloe leaf extract and shea butter to moisturize as it cleanses. Scented with Fragrance Originale, the signature Moroccanoil scent. Sulfate-free and paraben-free.

       Made in USA

I've heard rave reviews for this soap- so I had high expectations. We will start with the scent- I really liked it. Smells expensive. And it is a little powdery. I can't really describe it beyond that but I did really enjoy the scent at first before I got a bit tired of it. It's not really strong through so it won't scent up the entire bathroom or really stick to your skin much beyond a shower.

The actual soap itself lathers and bubbles up nicely. It's not drying- not really. And rinses clean. A little goes a long way too which is good- it should last a decent amount of time if you don't overuse it like I tend to do.

It is very similar to some other soaps in terms of packaging and overall feel so I do wonder if it's made in the same soap factory- the soaps it reminds me of are the Kopari Soap, Capri Blue, Malin and Goetz . They just seem to have similar vibe or seem like the come out the same factory. Hard to explain exactly what I mean but I thought I would mention it anyway.

The ingredients are OK. I love that it has Argan Oil- I think the craze for Argan Oil has ended but this line still seems to be doing OK. And my absolute favorite which is Shea Butter.

Ingredients:

SODIUM PALMATE, SODIUM COCOATE, AQUA/WATER/EAU, GLYCERIN, PARFUM/FRAGRANCE, COCONUT ACID, ARGANIA SPINOSA (ARGAN) KERNEL OIL, BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII (SHEA) BUTTER, ALOE BARBADENSIS (ALOE VERA) LEAF JUICE, SODIUM CHLORIDE, SODIUM GLUCONATE, SORBITOL, TETRASODIUM GLUTAMATE DIACETATE, CI 77891 (TITANIUM DIOXIDE), CI 77007 (ULTRAMARINES), CI 42090 (BLUE 1). MOSBORI01

Overall, it's a nice soap. It's not one I can see myself repurchasing but it was nice to try once.

Nopalera Noche Clara Cactus Soap Review

I'm on a roll with these reviews so I shall keep on going. I only have a tiny sliver of this one left so...gotta  use it. Except I think this has been discontinued. Bummer.

Nopalera claims:

Noche Clara Cactus Soap: Artisanal Care for Body and Mind
A signature of Nopalera, Noche Clara Cactus Soap combines bold design with handmade artistry and indulgent native ingredients. Each lather delivers a sense of purpose and tranquility, perfect for both body and spirit.

Soothing Body Lather
Infused with native Mexican prickly pear cactus and luxurious plant butters, this soap deeply nourishes while purifying and exfoliating with charcoal and cactus fibers. The refreshing blend of eucalyptus and sage essential oils calms your mind and uplifts your senses.

Key Ingredients:

  • Prickly Pear Cactus: Gently exfoliates and soothes the skin.
  • Charcoal: Detoxifies by removing impurities.
  • Eucalyptus & Sage Oils: Natural antimicrobials that calm and refresh.

Experience the perfect balance of craftsmanship and care with every use.

A few years back I used their lemongrass soap. And this one is called Noche Clara which really it's a Eucalyptus scented soap.  When I first bought it, I thought it was Tea Tree. But as I used more and the scent started coming through and it is definitely Eucalyptus. I am a fan of Eucalyptus- especially in the shower.  I feel like it makes the best travel soap scent because I swear it boosts my immune system. And it smells like the actual plant. So many scents (I'm thinking Bath and Body Works) will claim a Eucalyptus scent and...not really.

This one is nice. But that black coloring is serious. It will stain your washcloth. It will wash out though.

It does lather very nicely. And rinses very clean. Doesn't dry my skin- much. I wouldn't call it moisturizing.

It really can seem like any other Eucalyptus soap- but I think this one is a little different because the ingredients are better that most other soaps that have the same scent.

It uses Rice Bran Oil instead of Palm or Coconut Oil. Which I think kinda justifies the higher price. It's also more unique because of the prickly pear-which is said to exfoliate. So you get smoother and brighter skin and I would agree with that

Ingredients:

Noche Clara Cactus Soap: Ingredients: oryza sativa (rice) bran oil || cocos nucifera (coconut) oil || aqua (water) || butyrospermum parkii (shea butter) || theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter || sodium hydroxide || ricinus communis (castor) seed oil || opuntia ficus-indica (nopal)* || charcoal powder || eucalyptus globulus leaf oil || salvia officinalis (sage) oil

Overall, the scent is not too terribly exciting but if you want a nice Eucalyptus scent in the shower from a unique and minority owned brand- I would say you should try it. But since it's discontinued I'll link some other Eucalyptus soaps I recommend.
