Silk

Thank goodness it's Friday! I am just doing a little baking...I've had a sweet tooth but haven't really made anything sweet...and it's been taking for ever for my banana's to ripen so I could make my Banana Nutella muffins. So hopefully by the time I am finished this post those will be baked up.

But on the to the post. Today we talk SILK. One of my favorite, favorite groups. I have seen some of their live clips on youtube a couple hundred times. Every now and again I might play the same one over and over and over.

So I guess we start with their biggest hit. One of my favorites. Freak Me. Lil G's voice just does it for me. His voice just hits all those notes effortlessly. Wow.

Next up, Lose Control. The live performance got me. They WORKED that crowd. And I have seen this performance about a billion times. And will still watch it another billion times, eyes glued to the screen like I have never seen it. Silk is a one of a kind group.I know that concert was good.

Next up- Girl U For Me. You know what I love about this group? All their live performances are on point- so I can post the live or album version. I tend to love the live performances which is not super common with most artists/groups. They have a great live performance but the quality is VHS so we posting the video.

We're Calling You is a lil lame lyrics wise....but IDK...I love this one!

Next up, Nursery Rhymes. Never heard a Nursery Rhyme remixed and sound so good.

Don't Go was my intro to Tamar Braxton. I don't know if I knew who she was when I was listening but years later I was like Oops, that was Tamar. Cool.

I'm convinced The Apollo had their best performances. They brought those 90's moves. All that moving and still sounding flawless. Better than the record in fact.

I can go Deep is definitely one for THAT playlist. Wish there was a live performance of this one too....

Don't Go to Bed Mad- life lessons in this one.

Don't Cry For Me is like an extension of the other one...Both six minute songs. Both great songs. And over 6 minutes but it sounds so good, you barely notice

If You might be my 2nd favorite. Ok, it's my my favorite favorite. I was so happy to discover this one. It's the lyrics, the voices, just everything. This song is perfect. Underrated. This one is WORTH watching on youtube.

Next up, Let's Make Love. This whole album was a vibe. Also a must listen.

Did I save the best for last? Maybe. I've seen this performance...maybe a billion times. I get all the way to the end and then restart it. And I smile the whole time. Of course, they sound AMAZING. All of them. And they look good too. I have a weakness for a man in those specific type of sweaters. Is that weird? They do look good though. I especially love when Lil G breaks it down.He was hitting that falsetto...then all then full voice. WHAT???!  He was wearing that confidence/stage presence. I just love everything about this video.

In fact, I'll probably watch it a few hundred times more  before I call it a night 😂
