Almost didn't get to this post...I came home and was super productive. Almost too productive. I still have a few more things I need to take care of but I'll get to it. Eventually. Hopefully. I'm going right through these soaps...this is already on its last little sliver.
Pre De Provence claims:
Pre de Provence Soap Shea Enriched Everyday French Soap Bar - White Gardenia.
This beautiful and fragrant flower produces an intoxicating perfume. Added notes of lotus flower and ylang ylang create a silky, sweet fragrance while bergamot provides balance and white musk gives it a warm finish.
For centuries, the luxury of French-milled soaps has remained the gold standard of excellence. Each time you begin to lather a French made soap, you enter a time and place where quality and craftsmanship have stood still. Traditional French soap is triple-milled to produce a completely uniform and smooth soap, without impurities, thus lasting longer.
Each bar of Pre de Provence soap is not only carefully made today by dedicated soapmakers in Provence following their proud traditions, but quad-milled to be smoother and have a richer lather to create our luxurious feel.
Using pure, natural ingredients enriched with shea butter, you can feel the difference in our unique quad-milling process. Aromatic fragrances transport you into a moment of calmness, vitality, dreaming, or well-being.

I haven't had many things with a straight up gardenia scent. Just a few candles mostly. So I was curious on what I would think of the soap. Often times gardenia scents tend to smell a bit mature so I was expecting an "old lady" floral. To my surprise this smells quite nice. It reminds me of a fruity floral although it doesn't have any fruity notes. I really enjoy the scent. It's not strong at all, just strong enough. Shouldn't be overwhelming to those that don't like overwhelming and overpowering scents.
I think if you like Dior J'adore soap you would like this. They aren't necessarily the same quality of scent (Dior smells like a perfume in a bar soap, Pre De Provence smells a soap scent) but for the price....can't be beat!
As for the soap itself..it lathers really well, cleans well, and doesn't dry my skin.
I bought mine in the sampler set, so I have a cute little travel size soap.
I see on the website it also comes in a hand cream, hand soap, lotions, candles, diffusers, etc. So you have options if you do like the soap.
The one thing I don't like is they don't list ingredients. Not on the site, not on the packaging. So I have no idea what's in it.
Overall, I really like it! I would recommend it to anyone that likes a pretty fruity floral scent.
