Pre De Provence Rose Petal Soap Review

This soap is long gone and overdue for this review. I had a craving for rose soaps/candles not long ago but I'm over it. Most rose scents don't do it for me and...that's how I felt about this one.

Pre De Provence claims:

The vitalizing, romantic fragrance of rose petals mingles with geranium, parma violet, rambler roses and musk to create an extraordinary floral fusion.

For centuries, the luxury of French-milled soaps has remained the gold standard of excellence. Each time you begin to lather a French made soap, you enter a time and place where quality and craftsmanship have stood still. Traditional French soap is triple-milled to produce a completely uniform and smooth soap, without impurities, thus lasting longer.

Each bar of Pre de Provence soap is not only carefully made today by dedicated soapmakers in Provence following their proud traditions, but quad-milled to be smoother and have a richer lather to create our luxurious feel.

Using pure, natural ingredients enriched with shea butter, you can feel the difference in our unique quad-milling process. Aromatic fragrances transport you into a moment of calmness, vitality, dreaming, or well-being.

These soaps are pretty nice quality. Great lather, rinses clean, not drying. They all basically work the same. The only thing that sets them apart are the scent. If I love the scent, I'll love the soap. I didn't love this. It's a very forgettable rose scent. Not strong enough. A fleeting scent. In comparison to the Jo Malone Red Roses soap- similar but that had a stronger scent and was more constant. I could smell it more.

It is a lot cheaper though...so could be a suitable substitute. Not a scent for me.

I love a good rose scent but it needs to be a sweet vanilla rose...or rose with something interesting to it.

Overall....meh. I have two more mini soaps left from the brand and then I'll be moving on to something else. Hopefully I'll have better luck....
