It was a rough week last week. I've been working on a balcony garden and bought two raised garden beds. The second bed I went "cheap" for. Not necessarily cheap though and apparently bought a piece of garbage because. ...
I was able to save the tomatoes (I started them from seed) and the kale which has been getting eaten up. I think the beets are gone though. That and the heat has really made blogging an after though. But I'm back this week starting with an EO review.
I'm still getting through my essential oil collection. I'm probably doing a terrible job. But that's OK.
Plant Therapy claims:
Take a mini vacation anytime you need it with our Coconut Kiss Essential Oil Blend. This dreamy, all-natural scent is comforting, uplifting, and just the right amount of indulgent. Sweet, creamy Coconut and Vanilla bring tropical dessert vibes, while bright notes of Bergamot, Kumquat, and Tangerine add a cheerful burst of sunshine. Soft florals like Rose and the light, woodsy aroma of Ho Wood create a beautifully balanced heart, and grounding notes of Copaiba, Sandalwood, and a touch of Coffee round it out with a rich, cozy finish.
We're also proud to donate $5 from every purchase to the Africa Heartwood Project, an organization close to our hearts. Plant Therapy has supported this nonprofit since 2013, helping fund clean water initiatives in Ethiopia, Guatemala, and Liberia, as well as the building of an orphanage in Liberia. Together, we’re working toward lasting change that empowers communities, improves health, and brings hope to those who need it most. Your purchase helps make that possible.
I think the price of Essential Oils have been going up. I think I got this in a the monthly subscription so I can't remember if it came by itself of if there was something else included. But here we have it. It's not permanent. This one is almost $15 but they do state $5 from each purchase is donated to the Africa Heartwood Project which is a non-profit that fights poverty by providing clean water and sustainable livelihoods. I love products like that. Checking out their site they have quite a few really cute baskets...I think I will pick one up later on because I have been looking for more baskets.
So we shall start with scent- Coconut Kiss-doesn't smell like Coconut to me. Mostly I smell a resinous Copaiba scent. I get a slight hint of coffee. It does mention a few fruity notes- but I don't get the fruit notes. Mainly get the base notes and lately have been getting more huts of the Sandalwood. It does smell pretty nice. Not my favorite but I don't really use it purely for scent.
One thing I really like about this blend is it isn't just citrus. So many blends have been citrus, citrus, citrus. Which I like citrus but I want more unique blends.
It has vanilla extract. Can't go wrong with vanilla. I love the stuff and have a large collection of vanilla beans I am supposed to baking and making vanilla extract with. Bergamot which I find amazing for calming. It does have coconut extract as well. It has Kumquat which is a pricier oil that's good for energizing and freshening. Tangerine oil- I need to buy a large bottle of it. I have a feeling I would really love it! Coffee oil which I have a bottle and it's not as coffee smelling as you would think. It has Ho Wood, Indian Sandalwood, and Rose Extract.
Mostly I like rubbing it on my neck and joints after making it into a rollerball. I mainly do that because Copaiba is amazing for pain. I can be hard on my joints when I am playing my games so this oil is a way I "self care" for myself.
Overall, it's one I will happily use up. It has been lasting absolutely forever! I'm not sure I would repurchase quite yet since I have a TON of oils still to get through. But maybe later on...
Excellent article on Copaiba essential oil . I appreciate the detailed explanation of its therapeutic properties, especially its high beta-caryophyllene content, which contributes to its strong anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. It’s refreshing to see natural remedies like this gaining recognition for their scientific potential. Great work!
