I have a few candles I want to review- but candle season was off cause Summer was HOT. Until I realized how cool my apartment was when I came back. I'm sitting with a blanket now. Which is very odd for August. But that's OK.
I accidentally burned this candle more than I meant to and ended up burning it completely away. So that means it's review time.
I don't have the scent description because it's no longer sold on the website. Anthropologie seems to cycle through scents pretty quickly. I bought this on sale as well. But I guess it's time to bring out the fall candles.
Strawberry candles aren't very common. At least I don't see them all the time. I don't really think it's an easy scent to capture anyway. Most strawberry candles are more a strawberry candy scent.
Which this was. It smells exactly like The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter. It's a nice scent. But it's not something I would buy again and I'll probably forget about the scent in a few days.
The quality of it is not the best. It's very light and most of the time I couldn't really smell it. It's not bad. But not good either. I think the candle likely contains quite a bit of paraffin.
I mostly bought it because I like the packaging. I've never seen a candle that comes in a basket. And the little strawberries? Love it. So I'm keeping it forever. The glass jar inside is kinda ugly but it doesn't matter since it's inside and unseen. And I'll just chuck it into the recycle anyway.
Overall, it's OK. I'm most excited about the packaging...candle inside I could have left. At least I bought it on sale though. Now to figure out where to put my new basket and what to put inside it.
