I hate fig newtons but I love this.
I think it has something to do with the fact that when I was in the fourth grade someone told me a certain percentage of bugs in the cookies.
Blech.
I used dried figs because fresh figs are ridiculously expensive. About $1.00 for one. I've had fresh figs before but for the life of me I can't remember how they tasted. I'm pretty sure my grandfather has a fig tree when I was little. And I think I ate them when I lived in Turkey.
Anywho...this was really good. Ridiculously sticky but made a great breakfast. Or snack.
