Spaghetti With Meat Sauce

I love picking out recipes from different food blogs I follow....and I especially like making recipes from Budget Bytes! I really love that site!

The next recipe I tried from the site was relatively simple so I decided to make it a bit more complicated. I think I've made spaghetti sauce from scratch before. It's pretty easy...especially if you have a Vitamix. I just blended two pounds of tomatoes with 1/2 an onion, 3 cloves of garlic, half a carrot, and some olive oil. And boom! Marinara sauce. Throw it in a pot with a bay leaf and add a little table sugar, salt, and pepper and three hours later you have a great sauce! 

Anyway...after the sauce was done I made it according to the blog- except I used ground turkey instead of beef because it was on sale! It was slightly on the spicy side but I love a little spice. 


I used whole wheat spaghetti noodles, because it's so much better for you...

I made a little garlic bread and had dinner! An excellent dinner actually. Oh yeah...garlic bread burned a little....but I really like burned garlic bread.
