Clinique Happy Parfum Review

I thought I would give all the old scents a break and try something newer, something more fresh. Enter Happy.

I can't use this without wanting to play the song on Just Dance. I always bust out in some "'Cause I'm Happy"...clap along...etc and on and on. Which is nice in the am.

Clinqiue claims:

Clinique Happy by Clinique is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women. Clinique Happy was launched in 1998. Clinique Happy was created by Jean Claude Delville and Rodrigo Flores-Roux. Top notes are Orange, Blood Grapefruit, Indian Mandarin, Bergamot, Apple and Plum; middle notes are Lily-of-the-Valley, Freesia, Orchid and Rose; base notes are Mimosa, Lily, Magnolia, Musk and Amber.

What It Is

Our best-selling women's fragrance. A hint of citrus. A wealth of flowers. A mix of emotions.

What It Does

A hint of citrus. A wealth of flowers. A mix of emotions. Our best-selling women's fragrance interplays fresh, vibrant notes—ruby red grapefruit, bergamot—with soft, sensual ones—Hawaiian wedding flower, spring mimosa. Wear it and be happy.

Made in Switzerland

So it's not the newest perfume. It launched in 1998. So it's a 90's perfume that I grew up seeing a ton of advertising for. I used to pick up magazines (as a kid) and I just remember seeing so many ads. Did you know Clinique came out in 1968? I had no idea. I thought it came out in the 80's! But then I think everything came out when I did.

I've probably used up a sample or two but I don't really remember them. All I can tell you is it really doesn't make me that happy. It is fresh, bright, uplifting but there's a note that's off I can't quite put my finger on. I know I've smelled it in other perfumes but I don't know anything about notes..not really. Yet I still buy and review perfume.

It kinda reminds me of D&G Light Blue. But I would say I like Light Blue better.

The lasting power is not there. Even though it's a parfum it seems to disappear after only a few hours.

I think I paid around $40 sum dollars for it. I bought it on sale. It's listed at $62 for the 1.7 ounce size though. I guess that' an OK price? I probably wouldn't buy it at full price.

I like that it was made in Switzerland. Most perfumes I've bought have been made in France or the USA. It's nice to see a new country listed on a perfume, kinda unexpected.

Overall, not a very exciting perfume. Nothing I would purchase again or highly recommend. But I would try the Aromatic Elixirs perfume one day. It's been around forever and I'm intrigued.

Have you tried Clinique Happy? What's your favorite citrus fresh perfume?
