I can't remember why I splurged on this- I do randomly like to treat myself though. I was intrigued by bluebells-it's a flower I have never heard of, seen, or smelled. So I definitely ordered this one sight and scent unknown. I think I had $10 off or it was on sale so that definitely helped.
Jo Malone claims:
Elevate your daily routine with indulgent Wild Bluebell Body & Hand Wash. With naturally derived glycerine and meadowfoam seed oil, the formula transforms into a velvety foam, and cleanses and helps to soften skin. Leave skin scented with this mesmerising light floral fragrance.
When I first got it, I wasn't that into the scent. I just thought it smelled like a generic floral. The more I used it, the more the scent grew on me. It's just a soft, very pretty floral that doesn't smell artificial or fake in any way. I do wish it was stronger though. It's on the lighter side and doesn't necessarily linger or smell up the whole bathroom. It goes down the drain and all traces of it disappear. I like the scent, but I can't say I think it's a must smell or must have. It's just a nice scent that's nice to try once and then move on from. I am curious about the candle though. I could see myself buying it in candle form.
As for the quality- it could be better. You have to use a ton to get it to bubble up. That doesn't feel like luxury. It does later though once you use about a cup of it but each time I bubble it up it literally feels like I am rinsing my money down the drain.
Maybe it's intended more as a hand wash- at least it seems that way according to the directions. But it does say "body wash" in the title.
The packaging is extra nice. Comes in a box with tissue paper and it is made from the thicker plastic. I just don't like how hard it is to pump out.
As all shower gels- ingredients are that great. I think Lush has the best ingredients as far as shower gels go.
Ingredients:
Water\Aqua\Eau, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauramidopropyl Betaine, Fragrance (Parfum), Ceteth-20, Glycerin, Polysorbate 20, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Caffeine, Ethylhexylglycerin, Peg-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Sucrose, Peg-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Sodium Chloride, Caprylyl Glycol, Peg-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Peg-150 Pentaerythrityl Tetrastearate, Pentylene Glycol, Citric Acid, Hexylene Glycol, Polyquaternium-7, Benzyl Salicylate, Hexyl Cinnamal, Phenoxyethanol, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone
Overall, I do enjoy the scent. I am more into florals these days and it's just a pretty scent. I do think the quality could be better- more lather with less. I wouldn't repurchase but I am curious about the other Jo Malone scents.
