Plant Therapy Star Anise C02 Extract Review

Last review of the day. I'm still picking through my essential oils and trying to use up some bottles that would otherwise sit. I am mostly using up oils I wouldn't tend to like...and this one fit that to a T.

Plant Therapy claims:

Star Anise CO2 boasts an elegant, warm, and slightly spicy aroma that offers a gourmand richness and a hint of licorice to your fragrance blend DIYs. The supercritical extraction preserves the natural profile identity of the raw material giving it an aroma that is more true to the original plant.

Star Anise is believed to help ease occasional issues that affect older women, like sudden bursts of heat and sweating. It may also help support healthy digestion, ease occasional cramping, and soothe queasiness when you’ve overindulged or digestive issues strike. To help settle the tummy and help ease digestive discomfort, dilute to a maximum of 1.75% in a carrier oil and massage directly onto your abdomen.

I've had this for years and years and never even thought about touching it. Just looking it up I've had it since at least January 2021.

I'm not a fan of Star Anise. I think it's a gorgeous spice. I want to love it because it's so pretty. But I hate it. I made wings with it a few years back- yucky.

It tastes like the black jelly bean. Also yucky.

And kinda smells slightly like root beer. Can definitely use it to make a Root Beer scent. I kinda like that. But not enough.

It's good for digestion but I couldn't find any other use. There are other oils that support digestion that are a little more multi-use a smell better to me.  I made a room spray...cleaned with it a little. Dumped some in some old potpourri.

I just can't find anything I really like it for. I can definitely say I wasted most of the bottle spritzing it around.. So this is a no-repurchase for me.
