Back again..just a quick deodorant review today. I think I'll be back for one more later on. I have a lot to do today so I'm not sure. Here's hoping.
Humble claims:
I ordered a few deodorants from this brand after I picked up the Patchouli and Copal over the summer. I was thrilled when I saw these come in cardboard packaging. Completely plastic free and easily recyclable. I love to see it. And I must say I was a little skeptical but the packaging holds up to travel and everything else. I really wish more companies would follow suit and use cardboard packaging made out of recycled material. Here's hoping.
They have a lot of interesting scents on the website. This one was really very intriguing. I don't know exactly what Palo Santo smells like...so when I see it I am very likely to grab it. I do know what Frankincense smells like though. I definitely get that part of the scent, it smells just like the Essential Oil. And then it kinda smells like Star Anise Oil. And that part of the scent I don't enjoy. Overall, it's not my favorite scent and I would not buy this particular scent again.
Other than that it works better than most but not perfectly. It can stain shirts but it washes right out. I think that's the baking soda and coconut oil. I am sensitive to baking soda but I don't have a ton of trouble with this.
I do have to reapply it throughout the day. But it works better than most other natural deodorants out there so it's mostly OK with me.
It's not your typical texture and is very much a cream like with the grit of the baking soda. If you've never used a baking soda deodorant it will take some time to get used to.
It has simple ingredients. It would be very easy to DIY. Just baking soda, fractionated Coconut Oil, and beeswax. Oh and the Essential Oils.
It's my favorite of all the deodorants I have tried lately...but it's not perfect. I do see myself ordering and trying out other scents though because I do like the brand.
