Lush Whoosh Shower Jelly Review

Lush is pretty innovative when it comes to bath/shower products. They are the inventors or the bubble bar, bath bomb, and shower jelly. Among other things. I saw the jelly when I first was interested in Lush but never got around to trying it. When they put it in the Christmas sale, I couldn't resist and here we are.

Lush Whoosh claims:

How to use:

Wobble and lather, or chill if you'd rather. Serve up this citrus jelly baby fresh from the freezer for spine-tinglingly good cleanses.

Looking for the drive to help you take on the world? Let Whoosh sort out your cloudy, sleepy head and give you a boost to wake you up. Our self-preserving, triple-citrus wash gets you squeaky clean with its invigorating and energizing blend of fresh lemon, lime and grapefruit juices. And just in case your mental faculty is really struggling, we’ve thrown in revitalizing rosemary and balancing geranium to kick-start your senses even more. What are you waiting for? Rise and shine and get in the shower—the world is yours and the day awaits!

For a fresh body and wakeful mind, Whoosh is a citrusy sudser that'll get you up and at 'em. Lather up like soap, wash and go!

They seem to switch out scents every couple of years but Whoosh has been pretty permanent through the years.  It's pretty cool. Like a translucent blue block of jelly.

I bought the smaller one. I thought it would be a little gimmicky and wasn't really sure what to expect when you try to lather it up in the shower. Surprisingly it lathers pretty easily. I usually put in the washcloth and let it melt some. At first it stayed a solid block...at least the first two showers. Then it started breaking off in little pieces. So now I just take the small broken pieces and crush it into my cloth and I'm good to go.

The lather is not rich, thick or extremely bubbly. But it works.

As for the scent, it's a bight uplifting summer scent. It reminds me so much of Eucalyptus oil but checking  the ingredients- not in there. You can kinda smell lemon. Maybe some of the Rosemary. It's a nice scent. If you like Outback Mate you would like this. The scent is not super strong though and doesn't fill up the bathroom like the Outback Mate soap.

Not completely natural (as to be expected) but surprisingly good ingredients and also a short list.

Ingredients:

Glycerin, Honey Water, SLS, Propylene Glycol, Irish Moss Extract, Perfume, Fresh Lemon Juice, Fresh Grapefruit Juice, Grapefruit Oil, Rosemary Oil, Geranium Oil,  Benzoin, Water, Citral, Geraniol, Citronellol, Limonene, Linalool

Overall, it was fun to try and I would get them in another scent but I don't love this scent enough to make it a must have but I can see how it could be a must have for other people.
