Vice LTD Swatches and Review Years Later

The latest series I have been binging is You on Netflix. I wasn't ready for the craziness but I'm kinda hooked....this is after I binge watched Inventing Anna (I hated it) and another show that I can't remember what it was called.

But back to the shadow palette. It's an old palette. But I'm trying to go through my collection and remember some of the shades that I love, to keep me from buying more without appreciating and using what I have. I do rotate palettes though..

So here goes:

Nameless (Medium Taupe Satin)- I seem to have a lot taupe shimmer shades, this one is good quality and a little more brown than most. But I don't like it that much. These aren't my favorite type of shades...they are a little too cool on me for my liking. But they are OK on occasion. The quality of it seems to be nice, maybe I just need to find the perfect brown to pair it with.

Crystal (Icy Metallic Blue Shimmer)- I really like this shade, it reminds me of Cinderella's dress. It's a really pretty baby blue with sparkle. I like it with blue looks. Pretty unique one in my collection.

Provocateur (Icy Metallic Pink with Micro-Glitter)- This is a super glittery shade, I made it look nice once but overall it's very glittery and hard to work with. I need to experiment with it more, try it as a glitter top coat. I just never seem to remember if I actually like it or not.

Chase- (Soft Metallic Bronze)- This palette really seems to bring the everyday throw on shades. I like Chase. It's one I tend to forget is in here but I really do like it.

Backdoor (Cool Toned Dark Brown Matte)- This is a deep black brown matte. It's OK. I don't use these type of colors very often...maybe a good liner shade. It does pair really well with Vaporize.

Goddess (Deep Smokey Blue with Micro Glitter)- This color looks ok in a swatch but it's really terrible quality. Goes grey, lots of fallout, no pigment. I'm going to get rid of it after this post.

Hoodoo (Medium Metallic Violet with Pink Shift)- Love this purple shade. It has as subtle pink shift to it that makes it easy to wear. Not your every day purple. Urban Decay usually does gorgeous purple and this is one of them.

Last Sin (Pale Champagne Shimmer)- Pretty Inner corner color...I have two since it also came in the Vice 3. This one is the better quality one. Never going to be a favorite though.

Deeper (Medium Metallic Bronze)- This is my go to shade in the palette. Just a pretty reliable, everyday bronze shade.

Vaporize (Medium Metallic Grey Taupe) So many taupes. I think I liked this one, but I can't really remember. I'll have to wear it again and then update it. UPDATE: This might be one of my favorite cool toned taupes. It has some extra pizzazz and sparkle. Nice pigmentation. Can crease a wee bit. Pairs extremely well with Vaporize and a cool light brown to lightly blend out.

Freakshow (Bright purple satin)- This is a pretty purple, I usually wear it with Hoodoo, need to wear it on it's own though.  Quality seems ok, I don't think I've ever noticed it blending out grey at least

Roadstripe ( Iridescent white with blue violet shade)- I slept on this shade for awhile, until one day I put it on. The shift is gorgeous. It's one I used to never use so I could save it, but now there are a ton of shades like it, I think I'm going to use it as much as I want.

Disco (Pale Metallic Gold with Iridescent Glitter)- An extra glittery shade, pretty but tons of fallout. I have a glitter glue now I should try it with. UPDATE: Tried it with Glitter Glue and still tons of glitter fallout. Golds like this generally don't flatter me so with the fallout not worth keeping. Used it to color some bath water...

Floss (Deep Metallic Emerald with Micro Glitter) I don't think I like this shade either, it's too deep and not vibrant enough. It is basically a muddy, slight green but cant really tell shade.  It might be another I dig out but I need to test it more. It's not really a shade I am naturally drawn too. It is also hard to pick up and apply. (Trashed)

Junkshow (Bright Pink Satin) I used to love this color, it has a slight blue shift, but the last time I wore it it muddied and turned deep purple. I need to try it with another primer but it might be one I only wear for short days.

Anonymous ( Pale Peachy Cream Matte)- This is actually decent quality, it doesn't go patchy like most light shades and the texture is nice...but I hate these types of colors. It looks very grey in the swatch but not in real life. (Trashed)

Heat (Bright Metallic Copper) Gorgeous color, a more orangey golden color.

Perversion (Soft Black Matte) I think it was named after the pencil. It's a nice black, probably not needed since we have the deep brown black matte shade.

Blitz- (Brilliant Gold with gold Micro Glitter) A very pretty gold, gold aren't my color but I like this one.

Laced ( Pale Mauve) It looks pretty in the pan but not enough pigment for my skin tone. Might en up tossing it out later on along with Anonymous.

Some of the colors were too close, the black and the brown black, the golds are too similar- only need one really. And I would pick the one without the big glitters that just fall out. There are two useless light shades. Overall, there are only about 9 shades out of 20 that I actually like. Overall it probably wasn't worth the money...

It's also more neutral than past VICE palettes. That's probably another reason it's not my favorites.

Not every shade is perfect, some were horrible but that's to be expected in palette that has 20 shades.

And that's all...off to dig out Goddess and use it to color some bath water.
