Coast Pacific Force Bar Soap Review

Pacific Force-doesn't that sounds like some sort of mission or branch of the military instead of a soap scent? Coast is a classic that I don't remember using, yet it still smelled really familiar. I think that's because it smells similar to Irish Spring.

Coast claims:

An eye opener! Wake up with the Coast refreshing deodorant bar soap. Enjoy the classic revitalizing scent that opens your eyes while the thick, rich lather leaves you feeling fresh and clean.

Coast even looks like Irish Spring, it is white and blue instead of green and blue.

The scent is very reminiscent of an Irish Spring scent- except maybe this is slightly more reminiscent of a water type scent. In a cologne way. It's unisex to me, but I think men are more likely to use it. Just read that it is primarily marketed towards men too.  I don't mind it. It smells like soap- and smells very similar to other drugstore soaps. Like they use the same soap base, and then the Coast fragrance with something slightly zesty. It's synthetic smelling- but not in a bad way.

Like most other soaps, it lathers nicely, rinses cleanly, and doesn't dry my skin at all. It's not a bad soap and lasts like any other soap in the drugstore.

Not terrible on the soap scum but noticeably more than some other soaps I have used recently.

I've noticed more and more bar soaps are really pushing that they areeco-friendly. Less plastic than a shower gel bottle, ahtough each pack does still come packaged in a thin layer of plastic. I wish they would find another way to stick a small pack together rather than plastic.

Ingredients:

Sodium Tallowate and or (Sodium Cocoate (*Contains one or more of these ingredients), Sodium Palm Kernelate (*), Sodium Palmate (*), Sodium Tallowate (*)), Glycerin,  Coconut Acid, Palm Acid, Palm Kernel Acid, Tallowic Acid, Fragrance, Sodium Chloride, Titanium Dioxide,Pentasodium Pentetate, Citric Acid,  Ultramarines, Chromium Hydroxide Green

Overall, I'm not mad at it. It will do in a pinch, not sure I would repurchase though.

Also, finally found a brand that marketed to a diverse group! The soap came about in 1976 and this commercial was the very next year.
