Rihanna

It's Friday night and time for a music post. Today we talk Rihanna. I remember her first song. I really didn't think she hadwhat it took for longevity but clearly I was wrong. I also didn't think she had stage presence, a good singing voice...or the ability to dance. That's probably terrible to say, especially with how many of her songs I have in the iTunes Library and how much I love her music. I think her talent lies in making a song completely her own and she also picks the best songs.

This is probably going to be a very long post. 

Consideration. I downloaded and forgot this song. I just fell in love with it again...😂

Next up- Desperado. The Anti album really was fire. Why was this not a single?

I have to give her props for this one. I've seen a few performances where she performed and emoted the hell out this song. You can really see the growth compared to when she first started. Love this one like pretty much everyone else. 

Who doesn't like Work? I should play this the next time I'm at work....

Now bringing it back. They wore this one out on the radio when it first came out. I think the lyrics are bit dumb- why be unfaithful? Break up. But I still rock with it, IDK.

I don't think I would like this one so much- except I love the dance on Dance Central. And so it makes the playlist. Reminds me of Thriller by MJ. A good Halloween one.

Umbrella annoyed me so much when it came out. Once they stopped playing it so much..I started liking it.  It's on Just Dance but the dance is just OK. All that repetition makes this very recognizable as The Dream's song.

California King Bed- same song as Yo' Side of the Bed by Trey. I love the lyrics on this one though.

I almost don't want to listen to Man Down because it will be stuck in my head for the next 2-3 MONTHS. Yep, that long.

Rude Boy might be my favorite of all time. I would play this about 10 times in a row.  Maybe more....

I thought this one would have more views- I coulda sworn it was bigger? It's a fun one to dance too though....

Drunk on Love- I want to play the on the rest of the night. LOVE IT! I've already pressed replay...

Ok, I've moved on...but I'll probably be stuck on this song too. 

I kinda forgot about this song. But...I do love it. I dislike that Justin is on the music video  because I definitely can't stand him 🤮 Ruins the video...

Only Girl In the World is another Just Dance classic. This song took a minute to grow on me...I'm glad it did.

Only a few more to go....Russian Roulette. I never listen to this entire song- I love it but I usually get bored before it's over. It's still in the Rihanna playlist though...

You can tell this one came off the same album. Definitely has a similar feel. 

I have not heard Talk that Talk in ages. It takes me right back. I used to wear this song out....usually before I hung out with this guy I liked 😧 😋😂 Good times...

And last one...also  featured on Just Dance. A classic. I don't like diamonds but I definitely love songs about them.

We have finally come to the end. I was very wrong about Rihanna. And I'm glad I am. She has one of my favorite catalogues of all time.
