This weekend I went shopping. And I bought pillows and a blanket. And I was so ridiculously excited about it. I was adulting. Full blown adulting (I feel so proud of myself). Now if only I could fast forward to Friday when they are going to deliver my bed. But I still do need to buy sheets...which I'll probably do on Friday too. But anyway...on to the mascara review.
Maybelline claims:
Break every law of lengthening! The Fiber-Fix Brush and Sealing Formula work together to deliver dramatically longer lashes.
Maybelline's first mascara with 4mm of measurable fiber extensions delivers dramatically longer lashes. The Sealing Formula visibly stretches and securely seals fibers to lashes without breaking or flaking. The Fiber-Fix Brush has six different contact points with each lash for optimal fiber placement.
I think this is an older mascara (1990)...although I was kind of surprised to find that out because I didn't think the tubing mascaras had been around so long. And you can actually see the little fibers if you look close enough.
(Blatant Falsies-Liked the older commercial one much more)
The brush is a skinny, tapered shape. Natural bristles-which is my preference. It's easy to apply and because of the brush shape I don't find myself making a big mess on my lids.
The first time I applied it, I was blown away by the length. It makes my lashes look pretty long and adds a tiny amount of volume- although I did want just a little more. This is a good mascara for every day or just for someone with really thick lashes that is looking for some length.
I don't have issues with it flaking or drooping by the end of the day.
My favorite thing about this mascara is how washable it is. And the fact that it doesn't seem to get all over when I wash it off...it just comes right off. No smudging. No mess.
I don't think it's the best at getting the lower lashes...but that's a minor complaint.
It's a great mascara. Definitely try it out if you are looking for a good lengthening mascara. I can't find much wrong with it and would definitely recommend it.
Have you tried it? What did you think?
