Out of Africa Pure Shea Butter Soap In Verbena Review

I made it to Season 4 of Family Matters. I guess I'm really trying to watch it and figure out how the heck Laura ended up with Steve, especially with Myra. She really couldn't stand him for most of the show. Admittedly, I like nerds but Steve was a little too nerdy so I see exactly where she's coming from. But he did have some good qualities though. Idk.

Anyway...back to the topic at hand.

Out of Africa claims:

I won't waste any time. I'm not a fan of this soap. I was expecting a lemony scent. Or lemon grass. Some sort of scent. This soap was basically unscented. I didn't pick up any hints of lemon/lime or anything. It just had the same smoky Shea Butter scent as the Peppermint....except no mint. I almost thought it was the unscented bar.

I found it to be drying...and it caused a patch of bumpy dryness on my arms. It lathered well...but didn't really seem to clean well.

On top of that I did test it on my face and had quite a few little spots pop up. Shea Butter doesn't make me break out so I'm not sure why this broke me out.

Try as I did to like it, it just wasn't that great. I liked the peppermint variety much more.

I do like that the ingredients are all natural. And the company does use some of the proceeds to help provide education and medical care to children and women in South Africa.

Ingredients:
Butyrospermum Parkii ( Pure Unrefined Organic shea butter), Citrus Medica Limonum, (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantifolia (lime) Oil, Elaeis Guineensis ( Palm ) Oil, Vegetable Glycerin, Sea Salt, Aqua (Purified Water)

I like the brand, but this product wasn't a winner for me. I would still try out the other scent varieties though. I hope I can find the lavender variety. They are on the lower price spectrum for an all natural soap. I got mine for about $2.50.
