Happy Sunday! I've shared a lot of my favorite music over the years...but I don't think I've shared a lot of Gospel. Kirk Franklin is my favorite gospel artist. His talent for writing and arranging (also hyping) a gospel song is unmatched. He changed Gospel music for sure.
Anyway...since I said he was a favorite, you already know this post is going to be long.
I Smile might just be my favorite , favorite. It makes my heart happy.
Looking for You is my jam. I love how he can put on a show that will just get you happy, hype, and on your feet singing along. I would love to go to his concert.
Stomp will get you off your feet and stomping happily. And singing along.
Kirk Franklin with Queen CeCe. I didn't come across this performance until I was doing the post. Beautiful song and performance.
The Storm is Over Now is another one that is good to play when you are going through.
Silver and Gold takes me back to childhood. We would substitute our own things for the silver and gold. It was a good time.
I love Kirk Franklin and the Family. Anyone can sing along with this one.
Conquerors is my SONG. I love, love, love it. I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.
I love singing along to this one. It's Hosanna.
Let Me Touch You- another one that will have you emotional. That man can SANG. His voice is blessed.
We have Wanna Be Happy. I think I like the recording better but the performance was nice too.
Lean on Me is one of my favorites hands down. When I was in the six grade I was in a gospel dance group. And choir. I was chosen to do Mary J Blige's part of the song but then got switched to Crystal Lewis' part . We never actually performed it but it was fun practicing. I was really shy anyway so...not sure I would have actually sang in church.
I love Melodies from Heaven.
Something About the Name Jesus has over 30 million views. This performance is awesome.
The Blood Song has a powerful message. I never realized how many other gospel artists he's worked with.
Brighter Day sounds amazing. The Choir really blows me away. They sound exactly like the album.
He Reigns is from the same concert. Sounds amazing.
Last song is Whatcha Lookin for. Tell em Kirk.
I'm not going to post every song individually. But Kirk Franklin and the Family Christmas is in my top 5 Christmas albums. I can't go through Christmas without hearing it a few times.
He Will Supply
He'll Take the Pain Away-I thought this one was a little odd at first but the lyrics are just healing. This song has me in all the feels when I listen.
Everyone Hurts
He's Able
When I get There
123 Victory
Down By The Riverside
You Are

Blessing my Sunday with some Kirk Franklin. Most of my gospel playlist is from his music for a reason.
