Plant Therapy Orangesicle Natural Lip Balm Review

Orange and cream or Orange Creamsicle scents are my favorite. Not enough things come in the scent but years and years back I did have an Orange Cream lip balm from Blistex that I LOVED but I think the Fruit Smoothies lip balm line was discontinued and it was just a bonus balm. I was really excited when I saw the set for this though..but just like the Blistex you can't buy it on it's own.

Plant Therapy claims:

Keep your lovely lips soft and hydrated all day long with Plant Therapy’s Lip Balm Trio Set. Enjoy the subtle shine and pleasant, natural scents these light and silky lip balms leave behind. Citrus Splash is bright and uplifting, Orangesicle is deliciously reminiscent of the popular vanilla-orange popsicles, and Peppermint Bliss is fresh and minty.

Created using only natural ingredients, these lip balms will leave dry, chapped lips feeling moisturized and protected against harsh, damaging elements. Nourishing ingredients like Meadowfoam Carrier Oil, Shea Butter, and Beeswax ensure these lip balms are conditioning, moisturizing, and rich in antioxidants. They’re sure to find a permanent place in your purse and be your daily go-tos when your lips are in need of some TLC.

When I first got it I loved the scent. It was a creamsicle dead on. But as I've used it...it's not as great as the first time I used it. It's kinda orange and vanilla...but just not the best mix I've ever smelled of the scent. I think maybe there isn't enough vanilla?  But I do still like the scent. It is sweet and uplifting...just want more of the vanilla scent.

It does feel hydrating and smoothing...and the ingredients are great. BUT I do have to reapply often. I think it's because it doesn't have as much wax in it but as long as you reapply often...it's nice. It's on the thinner side as well. Not as hydrating as the old school Burt's Bees (which was mega thick which I love! ).

I like that it contains better ingredients..the first ingredient is meadowfoan oil (not a cheapie oil like sunflower/safflower that some balms use!). It has beeswax, shea butter, all the goodies. Not really sure about the beeswax...I think I do like the regular old beeswax over this form.

Ingredients:

Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Polyglycerol-3 Beeswax, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Sweet Orange) Peel Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Vanilla Planifolia (Vanilla) Fruit Oil, Stevia Rebaudiana Leaf Extract

Overall, I like it. I don't know that I would buy it again...because it's in a set and I don't necessarily want the exact same set again, but I did love trying it out!
