Green Goo Plants For Your Pits Clarity+ Focus Grapefruit and Pathcouli Deodorant Review

I was really in a mood to do some spring cleaning when I got home, I planned to mop the entire house, but only got through about 1/3 of the floors. Mostly because it's so hot. So now I'm just sitting in the front of the fan...relaxing. Figured I could knock out a quick post.

Green Goo claims:

Clarity + Focus herbal deodorant comes with the bright crisp aroma of Grapefruit to help brighten your mind and bring clarity to your busy day. Balanced by Ginger and Patchouli, this blend is both grounding and uplifting to create balance and help you focus. Infused with herbs of Rosemary, Sage, and Ginkgo, this blend is fortified with vitamin- and mineral-rich botanicals to help keep you centered as the world spins around you. Oh, and it helps minimize wetness and odor, too.

What if we could increase our health and wellness by simply switching out a product we already use every day? Turns out, because of the high absorption rate of our armpits, a deodorant can be made that does so much more than just fight wetness and control odor.

So we searched the world for herbs and essential oils that are friendly to your immune system, adaptogens, and help support cognitive function to calm our body in order to create a new kind of herbal deodorant: Plants For Your Pits.

The Keep A Breast Foundation

We are proud to donate $.05 of all deodorant sales to The Keep A Breast Foundation in support of their breast cancer education and awareness programs.

Those are some big claims. But don't all natural deodorants make crazy big claims? I'll start with scent...this deodorant comes in a ton of different scents..lavender, cedar wood, lavender thyme, and lemongrass sage. The scents seem a little more complex than your basic deodorants. I picked this one because I love Grapefruit and I love Patchouli. But it's mainly patchouli. I don't get any grapefruit scent at all. I really like patchouli so I like this but if you aren't a fan of patchouli, you would probably hate it.

The texture is smooth and almost like a commercial deodorant. Some natural deodorants can be gritty, gritty. This doesn't ball up, or stain etc.

Does it work? In the winter time with low activity...yes. In the summer or when working out (in the heat)...nope!

I do really like the company though...from the label it is women owned, they donate to breast cancer awareness and education. The ingredients are amazing. It doesn't have baking soda so that means no rash for me.

Ingredients:

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Magnesium Hydroxide, Maranta Arundinacea (Arrowroot) Root Powder, Stearyl Alcohol, *Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Polyglyceryl-3 Beeswax, *Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, *Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Pogostemon Cablin (Patchouli) Oil, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Rhizome Extract, Ginkgo Biloba (Ginkgo) Leaf Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf Extract, Tocopherol (Vitamin E) Oil.

I might try the other scents in Winter on days when I plan to just sit around the house. But other than that...probably not.
