I vacationed in Greece. And I'm still so happy about it. I had wanted to go to Greece ever since I learned about Greek Mythology in middle school. And also since I watched My Big Fat Greek Wedding- which is still one of my very favorite movies. I can quote so much of it, that's how many times I have seen it.
We spent most of the time in Crete and then did around a day or so in Athens to visit the Acropolis. One thing I have to say- Greek people are amazing. So kind, hospitable, friendly...I have been to a lot of different places/countries and I think Greece has the nicest people of anywhere I have visited.
This was the view from our Penthouse Suite 😁. I'm learning a room with a view is everything on vacation! The water was breathtaking- only thing is the waves were kinda rough so I didn't really get in like I wanted. I was rocking a twist out and didn't want to mess it up by getting smacked in the face with a wave. But it was picture perfect.
I didn't have the greatest luck with food- my favorite by far was the Gyro. Followed by Spanakopita. I found a bakery in Athens and had some amazing and yummy spinach pies. I didn't really get any good pics of it, I was so busy stuffing my face.
We visited an Olive Grove where they produce Olive Oil. We did an Olive tasting and I learned all about quality olive oil. I definitely bought some to take home and once I run out, I'm going to order some more! It's a family owned business and they also grow pomegranates and grapes. We got to eat fresh grapes off the vine and they were amazing! We also got to snack on the best food while enjoying this view of Dia.

Aftermath of the Olive Oil Tasting:
We did the wine tasting and had some of the yummiest homemade Jams:
We took a hike to a Spring- I don't think I would recommend this...the stairs kicked my Butt and it was pretty crowded.
Sleepy but I was hanging on the beach.
My first glance of Acropolis.
My first Greek Salad:
The gelato was almost as good was the one I had in Italy. I always go for Passion Fruit- because I'm obsessed with Passion Fruit on vacation. I had so many drinks with it! I also tried Fig Gelato- which was different but very good. I wish I had more now. Also had Greek Yogurt Gelato and I really enjoyed that!
Pics I took at Acropolis. The view was breathtaking.
I was most excited to visit the Temple of Athena.
Acropolis at night...love it!
Roaming the streets at night. I did a green shadow look with my Danessa Myricks palette that was so multi-dimensional and shiny! I always take way more makeup than I ever use on vacation so I was glad I used some of what I took.
And that's all! I had a blast and can't wait to go back-because I am definitely going back one of these days.
