The Stylistics

It's already that time for a music post. This one will be a smidge longer than the last one..cause the Stylistics are a classic group with a lot of songs that I can't live without. Sounds dramatic but it's true.

Starting with my favorite song- People Make the World Go Round.  I know most of their hits very well, my Dad has a greatest hits album and he wore that CD out when I was a kid. I think he would play it on the many road trips we took.

Actually...maybe Betcha By Golly Wow is my favorite. It's a tie maybe. As soon as I hear that start- There's a Spark of Magic in Your Eyes- I get happy. I love, love, love, and LOVE this one. You know who had a solid remake? Phyllis Hyman. 

You are Everything is another classic Stylistic song. I just love these type of oldies. My type of music. 

My Ears were hooked on this after one listen. The production on this song is magical.

Break up To Make Up is also a great one. We've probably all had type of relationship. It's fun until you get tired...

This isn't one I readily remember because I didn't grow up on it...but at the same time it sounds like I did. Maybe I just didn't pay attention when it was on. It's a bop though.

This should be higher because it's definitely top five. Top Three actually. And now that I just listened to it, this one will be in my head for the next week or two. I miss the love songs of the 70's. 

As for Hurry Up This Way Again- I have a lot of versions of this one. Regina Belle is the one I knew growing up...I was shocked when I found out this was the OG though. She did it justice and then some because it is my favorite. But I do really like this version too.

Last up, just a bonus Christmas song. Because Christmas is coming ( still few months but the way this year is flying?). I take my Christmas playlist seriously and this is on it.
