Plant Therapy Calm Essential Oil Review

About 99% of the time, I am a calm person. I don't like to let much shake me. Every now and again I do get rattled, and I've found the best way to deal with it is the transfer negative energy right back to the person who is rattling you. I actually did it recently and it really worked! Although I did have to say a bunch of crazy things that weren't really like myself...at the end of it all I was walking with a little pep in my step and back to my usual self.

But I did try calm oil. I like the idea of a calming oil.

This particular one came in the Inner Peace set that was an part of the Oil of the Month in July. It came with Cool, and Collected. I've already reviewed Cool here.

Plant Therapy claims:
With just three ingredients, Calm is just what you need when you need a bit of relaxation. Amyris provides a lovely woody, peppery balsamic aroma that is wonderful for relaxation. Orange Essence compliments that with an intense, fresh citrus scent that can help uplift your spirits and ease worry and tension. And lastly, Bourbon Geranium, with its green, rose-floral, herbaceous scent, helps balance the mind during times of agitation. You’ll enjoy a blend with a soft, sweet, citrusy and woody aroma that will help provide you with the calm you need when the stresses of life get to you.

I thought that Cool was the one I liked the least but I think it's actually the Calm one.

I'm not familiar with Amyris, so I have no idea how that smells. I love the smell of orange and I can pick it up in here...but it smells more like orange pith and kind of bitter. I've never smelled Bourbon Geranium, but I do have the regular Geranium and I'm actually not a big fan of it. It's slightly growing on me...but not really.

It just melds together and makes a scent that makes me wrinkle my nose. And I've really been trying to like it.

I tried diffusing it and it's not really strong in the diffuser, made a body oil, and a spray and I just didn't find myself liking it. Because I don't like it, I think it has the opposite effect. Doesn't calm me down whatsoever.

This wasn't a great blend for me..but I still do love trying different blends and love the company and will be in the Oil of the Month club forever!
