Definition: something that someone does in order to show that they want to stop arguing. The olive branch is often used as a sign meaning peace. extend an olive branch: He extended an olive branch to community leaders by offering to meet them.
I had to look it up. I kinda had a vague idea of what it meant but wasn't 100% sure. This shower gel kinda reminds me that I definitely have something to work on...I'm not very good at extending an "olive branch" after I fall out with someone. Even though I might really want to...I'm stubborn. Extremely stubborn. I'm working on it though.
Anyway...onto the shower gel review.
Lush claims:

I feel like I had been hearing of this shower gel for years and years but never bought it because I wasn't quite sure about what the scent was supposed to be. Olive? Not quite. It's a very strong, perfume-y, unqiue Lush type of scent. I'm not sure how to describe it, but it's one of those unforgettable ones. It kinda smells strongly of an old school perfume. In a like-able way. It's strong. Makes the bathroom smell great, and actually lingers on the skin.
I really like it. I was blown away the first time I used it. But now that I've used it more, I find I do really really like the scent but not in love with it like I thought I was going to be. If I had to choose, I would go with Karma. I enjoy this one but I LOVE the Karma scent, and for some reason these seem to be in competition with each other for me. Maybe because they are both orange. IDK.
But I really do like the scent and think it's worth trying if you like strong, perfume-y scents.
It lathers nicely, gets you clean without drying out your skin, all the things a nice shower gel should do.
And it has fair trade olive oil that helps to support Israeli and Palestinian Farmers. I think that's my favorite thing about this shower gel. And it does make me want to purchase again even though I prefer the Karma scent.
The ingredients are nice...fair trade olive oil, fresh mandarin juice, bergamot oil, sicilian lemon oil, orange flower absolute, sicilian red mandarin oil, and lactic acid. There are some that get the side eye, but I find that Lush has the best ingredients you can get in a commercial shower gel.
Ingredients:
Water, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Glycerin,Vine Leaf Infusion,Fair Trade Olive oil, Perfume, lauryl betaine, fresh mandarin oil, bergamot oil, Sicilian lemon oil, orange flower absolute, Sicilian Red Mandarin Oil, Lactic Acid, Hexyl Cinnamal, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Linalool, Colour
I just remember I actually had the bath bomb of this. I don't think they smell the same, I think you get more scent out of the shower gel actually. I would likely buy the shower gel again, especially if it were on sale but it's not at the tip top of my list for repurchase. I do think it's worth trying though.
