I'm still going through and trying to get my hands on the most iconic perfumes of all time. Some are easier to get, others I have to order. This one was in my local store but only the toilette. Since I collect bottles I really wanted the perfume bottle that has the doves. It's so cute! So I ordered it.

Top notes are Carnation, Aldehydes, Rose, Neroli, Brazilian Rosewood, Peach and Bergamot; middle notes are Carnation, Cloves, Gardenia, Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang, Rose, Violet, Orris Root, Rosemary and Orchid; base notes are Spices, iris, Oakmoss, Musk, Sandalwood, Benzoin, Amber, Vetiver and Cedar.

This definitely smells like an old school perfume. But in a good way. It reminds me of
Chanel N5 and
Oscar De La Renta. Except I like this way more than the Chanel and I think it's cheaper? I really liked the Oscar De La Renta too though so I'm not sure which I would pick if I ever wanted to repurchase one.
But yep old school floral, you get the Jasmine, Rose, Aldehydes ( IDK what those smell like but kinda think I can smell similarities between this and Chanel N5 and I think it's those notes). I hear the carnation is what makes it a little spicy and not a note you come across much. But IDK. There are a ton of other notes so this is definitely complex on paper.
It's also kinda soapy which is something I really like. Old school floral with a more modern soapy scent. At least I think so.
I do really like it. I can see why it's been a best seller for such a long time. I don't know how much under 30's would really like it. Maybe I'm just the right age for it?
Like I said, I love the bottle. It's so cute and I'm happy to add it to my collection. I went for the smaller bottle, I always prefer a small bottle I can use quickly and move on if need be. The last few older perfumes I bought were huge and I was tired of them by the time I used them up.
The lasting power isn't bad. Maybe it lasts 6-8 hours. Sometimes a few more hours if I overspray and layer it.
Overall, maybe it will make my year end faves. I'm really going to enjoy using up the bottle and will miss it when it's gone.
