Molton Brown Jasmine and Sun Rose Bath and Shower Gel Review

I've had a great day and to end this great day....a quick post. This is the last Molton Brown shower gel I plan to review for awhile because there are a few other brands I want to try out, but I do plan on coming back to the brand because I do really like their scents. I bought this because I have been on a bit of a jasmine kick. I want everything in a Jasmine scent. I even have a Jasmine Mint toothpaste. I might pull it out for review later on.

Molton Brown claims:

Discover our Jasmine & Sun Rose fragrance, a symphonic collection of floral and fruity notes. Delight in the youthful blushes of raspberry, peach, jasmine and Osmanthus of our Body Wash, Body Lotion, Bath Oil and Eau de Toilette.

This alluring, boldly feminine shower gel captivates your senses, with a poised symphony of heady jasmine, playful raspberry and rich labdanum.

An Egyptian landscape captured in late summer's blushing dusk. Royal jasmine blooms, painted as tiny stars in a sea of fields. Faraway rose sands rise and fall like dynasties with a single brushstroke. Beguile your senses with a deltaic masterpiece.

Poised. Symphonic. Captivating.

Made in England

I really enjoy Molton Brown fragrances. The ones I have tried have been very unique and they do smell more on the expensive side. This can be pretty pricey but of course I shopped a sale and got this for around 22 euro. Much better price than the $35 they go for in the US.

I think this scent is nice, and I have been enjoying my bottle, but I don't think it's anything I would buy again. It's a mature, heady yet soapy kind of Jasmine scent that's pleasant and nice and leaves a nice scent in the bathroom if you use enough. I'm just not into it enough to ever purchase it again.

From the scent notes, it seems to be a fruity floral but I don't think the fruity notes stand out much. It seems to be a straight up floral to me. I don't know that I get the Raspberry or the Peach unless they are just so well blended I don't pick them up. It does have a strong scent of Jasmine. It does also have Osmanthus, I'm not sure what that smells like but it is in the Lush Goddess Soap and Bath Bomb which I do think it reminds me of.  It smells like an "expensive" scent. I did use it a few times on the days I wore Ms. Dior and it complements that perfume well.

It doesn't linger around on my skin like some of the other Molton Brown scents.

As far as the performance, it works fine, lathers well, rinses clean and doesn't dry my skin.

Shower gels never really have the best ingredients but it's nice to see a few nice extracts there.

Ingredients:

Water / Aqua / Eau, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Fragrance / Parfum, Propylene Glycol, Laureth-7 Citrate, Glycerin, Sodium Chloride,
Coco-Glucoside, Polyquaternium-7, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Caprylyl Glycol, Hydrogenated Palm Glycerides Citrate, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Limonene, Linalool, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellal, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Tocopherol, Sodium Phytate, Alcohol Denat., Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Diethylhexyl Syringylidenemalonate, Peg-150 Pentaerythrityl Tetrastearate, Ppg-2 Hydroxyethyl Cocamide, Red 4 / C.I. 14700, Yellow 5 / C.I. 19140.*

Overall, it's a nice Jasmine scented shower gel. It's not a repurchase for me but could be worth trying if you love Jasmine scents.
