Aveda Nutri Plenish Deep Moisture Conditioner Review

I have been addicted to watching hair bleach and cutting fails over the past couple of days. It's really pretty fascinating how one product can really destroy the hair if you don't use it properly . It almost makes me want to color my hair (not bleach) but I am resisting. I'm going to play in colored waxes instead.  I really want to try and grow out my hair- it grows down my back and then kinda stops- but I don't really take as good of care of it as I should. So I plan to do better. For real this time.

Aveda claims:

Decadent conditioner with vegan superfood blend of potent plant butter and oils, conditions and replenishes dry hair with nutrient-powered hydration.

Tip: For very thick and textured hair also works as a deeply hydrating leave-in conditioner.

I really like Aveda- and it's mostly due to this line. I reviewed a shampoo and conditioner from them for this line- but when I bought the conditioner I bought the light moisture (which I also love). I needed a good conditioner-so this time I went with the Deep Moisture instead of the light moisture. I really like Aveda- mostly because they don't use silicones in most of their line. I like to avoid silicones unless it's in a heat protectant or something like that. I just find them heavy on my hair and they eventually dry my hair out and make my hair super stiff. Especially dimethicone.

So I really like the light moisture one- and I also really like the Deep Moisture one. I don't know that I can really tell much of a difference- maybe if I used them side by side but my light moisture bottle is long gone. I just find it seems to actually moisturize my hair without being greasy, oily, or heavy. It feels like real moisture.

I also really like the smell. It almost smells like bubble-gum  in a very natural way with some of the other scents Aveda claims like the cardamom, ginger, and cocoa. I haven't smelled a lot of their lines but it's definitely my favorite Aveda smell so far.

My favorite thing about this conditioner is how much it helps with detangling I had some really bad tangles when I used the first one and it worked so much better than just about anything I have ever used before to melt the tangles. Even things meant for detangling.

I also like that it seems concentrated. I don't have to use a ton to feel like it's working or coating my hair properly. So even though the container is only 8.5 ounces I feel it's going to last awhile. I feel like I've used it quite a bit and it still feels pretty full.

One thing I am trying to focus on is really massaging the conditioner into my hair and especially into the ends. I have a lot of hair and tend to mostly just rub it on the perimeter of my hair instead of focusing it on the crown and ends- but I'm working on changing my method of application.

The only thing I really don't like about it is the price. It's expensive. I'm pretty sure I got it on sale or with a coupon code...but the price is still really high. This might be the priciest conditioner I have ever tried. And I would actually buy it again. But to be honest- there are deep conditioners that were more affordable that rivaled the moisture this brought- but they didn't detangle as well.

It has a lot of ingredients...a lot of them I have no idea what they are and then it has a few goodies- butters and oils. Some are pretty unique to this line- mango butter and pomegranate oil
