Dove Exfoliating Beauty Bar Review

I finished The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakess. I was so excited to read it but largely disappointed. I guess that's just the nature of prequels and sequels to your favorite books (thinking of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child which I didn't like at all). I guess it's because I never really liked Snow and couldn't find myself feeling sorry for him or identifying with him.  Not sure I want to see the movie coming out in November but I'll probably watch it anyway.

Wondering how to improve dry, itchy skin? Dove Gentle Exfoliating Beauty Bar is the key to smooth skin. We’ve all been told how important exfoliation is as part of an effective skin care routine, but that doesn’t mean being rough – skin exfoliation can be gentle, too. This beauty bar is a gentle exfoliator to make it look smoother and more radiant.Dove Gentle Exfoliating Beauty Bar is formulated with our pH balanced formula and ¼ moisturizing cream to gently cleanse and nourish your skin for soft, smooth results. Suitable for regular use on hands, body and face, Dove Gentle Exfoliating Beauty Bar is a welcome addition to any skin care routine.

I think Dove Exfoliating has been around forever or at least for as long as I can remember. While the original Dove is the version that makes me feel nostalgic because that's what I grew up with, Dove Exfoliating is probably a better scent than regular Dove. It' just smells all refreshing and nice. Leaves the best scent in the bathroom. It really just smells the Dove Original you get in Europe.

It makes really bubbly lather that rinses cleanly. I feel like it just cleans OK though. And the exfoliation is basically nothing. I tend to use it in a washcloth but I did try to just rub it on my skin to see if it was exfoliating and it did something but nowhere near enough that I would call it exfoliating.

Ingredients are what you would expect- actually it' closer to the European version of Dove since it does not have animal tallow. I need to check and see if they changed the US one. Annnnd they did according to the website. that could explain the price hikes. It used to be about $2 for a 2 pack and lately I've seen them at about double the price.

Ingredients:

Sodium Lauroyl Isethionate, Stearic Acid, Lauric Acid, Sodium Oleate, Water (Eau), Sodium Isethionate, Sodium Stearate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Fragrance (Parfum), Sodium Laurate, Microcrystalline Wax, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Sodium Chloride, Kaolin or (ou) Titanium Dioxide, Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090).

Overall if you forget about the exfoliation it's a really nice soap. If I didn't always need to try something different and new all the time, I would definitely repurchase but wish the price better or closer to what it was.
