I just got done burning some butter...I was supposed to be browning it but I left the kitchen for one minute and when I came back the butter was black. I've been hearing for years about how browned butter steps up everything you make. But I didn't decide to try it tonight when I found a cookie recipe with it. The 2nd batch worked but I won't know how the cookies taste until tomorrow.
Anyway...another natural deodorant review. I've been trying a ton lately it seems.

I actually tried their deodorant years ago when it still came in the glass jar with the spatula. The packaging and the formula has changed. The major change seems to be the addition of the magnesium. This time I picked up three...but I already used up the Rose and Vanilla and threw it away before I thought to take a picture.
I can say that Magnesium Charcoal for sure works the best. But it had some downsides, the texture was rough and bumpy and it caused rashes for me. I was still willing to use it..because it worked but I wanted to try these as well just to see how they would work for me.
I was hoping these would be a better alternative. And they are. But they don't work as well. And depending on the scent, I found some work better than others.
The texture of these are better than the Magnesium..but it's gritty. And a ton rubs on so it seems like it's easy to overuse or apply way too much. In turn, they seem to get used up fast. And with the price ranging from $6-10 dollars, that isn't my favorite.
These didn't cause any rash on me. I think it's the Baking Soda so there is probably less of that in there. It's the workhorse ingredient....so if there is less that probably explains why they don't work as well as the Magnesium Charcoal One.
The one downside is if you do sweat, it seems to stain your clothing. And you have to work to get it out.
They do have the very best scents though....Other than the Lavanila scents (smell great but do not work at ALL) , I think these are some of the very best scents.
Lavender & Sage: This one smelled amazing. It really did. So many Lavender scented things just end up smelling fake. This smells like real Lavender. And I guess Sage....But it's not the best working for me although it does last a couple hours. Just not when it's too hot or I'm working out. I tried another deodorant from Weleda that was Sage and it didn't work either...so I'm thinking it's the Sage that doesn't work with my body chemistry.
Rose & Vanilla: This one smells amazing. It smells very similar to the Rose Jam scent from Lush. And somehow it works slightly better on me. I forgot to take a picture of it and I don't think it's one I would re-purchase...at least not for awhile. But it was nice.
Bergamot & Lime: This one works the best. Not as great as the Magnesium. But I like the texture and that it doesn't irritate or give me a rash. It also smells really nice. A nice uplifting scent. And it actually smells like if you mixed Bergamot and Lime. I like that it's a unisex scent. I think the reason it works so well is the Bergamot. Bergamot calms me all the way down so I'm thinking it calms the pits down. IDK. That's my theory. It's the best of the three I tried and the one of the three I am most likely to repurchase.
The ingredients are great....Nothing in there that concerns me.

Overall, One of the better options for a natural deodorant- specifically the Bergamot Lime. But I think there has got to be an even better option so the search continues.
